The right feed can make managing a metabolic horse so much easier🐎

“My Chubby Cheekster “Sapphires Lil Bullet “ was starting to get chunky even with 6 days of good exercise and lightening his alfalfa load .

So I decided to do blood work. His numbers came back very mildly abnormal with his Insulin resistance. So I adjusted his feed etc . I decided to switch to the new Bluebonnet Low Starch Ultra . He had been on it for 3 months now and is making such improvements! He’s looking less chubby every day, and his blood work has improved as of 3 weeks ago!

I love how this feed still gives him all he needs to perform top notch as a performance horse , but also supports his insulin resistance issue . He will definitely continue staying on this grain ! I highly recommend it for any horses that need to watch their sugar / starch! “ - Jessica Bryce Machado
