More riding. More teaching. More learning. More memories. 💚

Because race weekends are about so much more than what happens on the course.

There are coaches teaching, riders encouraging each other, parents and volunteers working behind the scenes, and a whole community coming together to make it happen.

From the pit to the start line to the finish — it takes a team. 💚

Our Cactus Shadows riders had an incredible first race of the season in Flagstaff!
A beautiful day, a great course and some seriously strong racing from our Falcons — with THREE riders making their way to the podium! 🙌
🥈 Dawson F. — 2nd Place, Freshman Boys
🥉 Cory M— 3rd Place, Freshman Girls
🥇 Allison R— 1st Place, Varsity Girls
And congratulations to every one of our riders who crossed that start line today. Podiums are exciting, but we’re just as proud of the effort, determination and teamwork we saw throughout the entire team. 💪🌵
Mother Nature even cooperated for almost the entire day… the rain held off until the high school podium! 🌧️😂

🏁 FIRST RACE OF THE SEASON! 🚵‍♂️🌲
What a day in Flagstaff for our Sonoran Trails riders!
Coach Aaron started the morning by going over race-day details, sharing a little motivation and getting everyone ready before it was time to head to the start line.
Our 8th graders kicked things off, followed by 7th grade and then our 6th grade boys — and our riders came ready to race! 💪
A huge congratulations to two of our podium finishers:
🥈 Nico — 2nd Place, 7th Grade Boys
🥉 Drey S. — 3rd Place, 6th Grade Boys
We are so proud of ALL of our middle school riders for getting out there, pushing themselves and representing our team so well. One race down and a whole season ahead! 🌵🚵‍♂️

🚵‍♂️ PRE-RIDE COMPLETE… NOW IT’S RACE TIME! 🚵‍♀️
What a great night in Flagstaff getting ready for our first ACA race of the season tomorrow! 🌲🏁
The pit is set, our riders hit the course for their pre-ride to check out the terrain and see what tomorrow has in store, and then we wrapped up the evening the best way we know how — pizza, teammates, coaches and families together at the pit! 🍕🙌
We also had TWO birthdays to celebrate! 🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to Coach Kaolin and Charlie R.! Not a bad way to spend your birthday weekend!
Tomorrow it’s go time. We can’t wait to see our riders out there giving it everything they’ve got!

Photo day = a little loud, a little chaotic, and lot of smiles 💙💚

Between the laughs, the chit-chat, the bikes, and coach Jason directing traffic, the team gathered at Apache Wash Trailhead for photos against one of the best backdrops around. 🌵☀️

Then it was time to ride one last time before the first race of the season this weekend. 🚵‍♀️

🚵 What a great way to kick off the holiday weekend! 🌅

Yesterday morning, our team rolled out from Flat Tire Bike Shop after making one important pit stop—topping off everyone’s tubeless tire sealant so they’re ready for race day. Here’s hoping the only thing our riders have to tackle next weekend is the course... not flat tires! 😉🚲

From there, the team hit the trails, enjoyed a beautiful morning in the desert, and even had a few wildlife sightings along the way. 🦌🐍

We wrapped up the ride back at the shop with donuts to celebrate senior rider Andrew, who turns 18 today! 🎉🍩 Happy Birthday, Andrew!

A big thank you to Flat Tire Bike Shop for supporting our team and helping keep our riders rolling all season long. 💙💚

THE NEW LOOK OUT IN THE WILD🚵

The Falcons and Stingers hit the trails last night in their new practice jerseys, and suddenly, the whole team is a LOT easier to spot out there. 😂

There’s something pretty awesome about seeing riders from different schools, different grades, and different skill levels all out there looking like one team.

And of course, we have to give a HUGE shoutout to our sponsors. Their support helped put these jerseys on our riders—and we are so grateful for every business and organization that continues to show up for our kids. 💙💚

Our 2026 CCUSD Mountain Bike Team race schedule is officially set, and we can’t wait to see our riders back on the trails!

Whether you’re racing, cheering from the sidelines, volunteering, or just coming out to support the team, we’d love to see you this season. Every race is an opportunity to challenge ourselves, encourage one another, and make memories that will last long after the finish line.
