The swimming community knows that the madness of March is not limited to basketball. NCAA Division I, II and III championship meets are all held this month!
Cedar Falls High School is proud to have two swim team alumni competing for their collegiate teams.
Johnny Butler (CFHS24) is representing University of Chicago at the DIII meet currently underway in Indianapolis.
Earlier this month, Mary Flikkema(CFHS25) was part of school record setting relays for the Colorado School of Mines and placed 12th individually in the 100 back.
Proud of our graduates!

Speaking of sponsors⦠letās take time to feature a few. Thank you to Hansenās Dairy and Blue Barn BBQ. These two great local businesses made in kind contributions that made our team meals extraordinary. Stop by and tell them that you appreciate what they do for CFHS Menās Swimming!

Another highlight of the team room? Team meals! Taco night, breakfasts and pasta dinners provided opportunity to relax and connect with each other outside of the pool. These meals were only possible through the generous efforts of our parents and donors. Thank you!

Team room snacks were a loved addition to the season this year! These snacks kept our athletes powered on their way to class after morning practice and refueled before afternoon practice. Stats should have been kept on the number of Uncrustables, cheese sticks and PopTarts were consumed. A special thanks to Katie Bartelt who recently reorganized our suppliesāit looks amazing!
Thank you to the Bartelt family for all they have done to make this space possible and all the families who contributed!
