Hello!

With the spring rain the gravel roads are pulling! Please be extra careful and go slow. I don’t care if you’re late, I do not want you to end up in the ditch!!

Also there will be no lessons from April 11 through April 19 as I will be on vacation.

It's officially the cold season!

I just wanted to post a few things about the cold and lessons!

* We ride if the feel like temperature is around 30 degrees. If on the boarder we may move from a riding lesson to ground work lesson.
I have some students that do not mind if it is a bit colder and others who like it warmer. You know yourself and kids the best so keep me posted if you or your kids were to cold at their last lesson.

* Tis the season to bundle.
You can ride in snow pants and snow boots ( as long as the boots fit in the stirrup). I also suggest getting hand and foot warmers and lots of layers, make sure you can still move otherwise that is a safety issue! Ear bands can be worn under the helmet but caps/hats interfere with how a helmet protects the head.

* To cold but still good weather? TACKROOM LESSONS!
When the weather is to cold to get the horses sweaty we can do a classroom lesson and cover topics we don't get to cover when we are on the horse. Great way to learn firstaid, ownership, nutrition, ect. I know everyone always wants to ride but classroom lessons are important as well. These are held in the tackroom with a heater but I still suggest dressing warm.

With us now in fall please make sure to dress in layers as it is normally cooler/ windier at the barn.

It is time to start packing gloves, hats and sweatshirts in the vehicles. We all know the kids will change their minds on how it’s not cold until they get to the barn. I also do this and lecture myself about not being prepared. 😂😅

With this weather Mack and Rosie will be more excited to see you all! Welcome to frisky fall for horses!
