Join us in congratulating Captain Kari Rea on earning her 25-year service pin!

Captain Rea started with Cedar Falls in 2001 as a part-time Community Service Officer (CSO) while attending the University of Northern Iowa. She began her career as a Cedar Falls police officer in 2002. She was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2018 and then Captain in April of this year.

During her career, Captain Rea was named Officer of the Year in 2013 and the RJ Voss Supervisor of the Year in 2025. We thank her for her continued dedication to our city!

Thanks to Singlespeed Waterloo for allowing us some tables on the patio on a beautiful night. So much fun! Came down to a tiebreaker question to decide the winner.... Next year will be 🔥
