2011/2012 Texas Glory - NW Indiana played in the Crown Point USSSA High "5" Summer Finale tournament and came out Champions! Going 5-0-1 on the weekend and playing some solid competition! Early on, we struggled defensively, but was able to make up for it with strong hitting, aggressive play made up for it, and can't forget, coaches favorite of 2 out rbis! Once we got to bracket, our defense was cleaner, but our batting was consistent, enroute to the championship win! Some highlights from this weekend,

Pitching staff- 4 total earned runs! Lilly (2030 Hebron) and Emily (2030 Lake Central) with zero, and Taylor (2030 Plymouth) with 4. 29 innings pitched by our pitching staff.

Hitting- we as a team batting .349 as a team! Peyton (2030 Illiana Christian) batted .625 with one home run, 5 extra base hits, and 7 Rbis. Avery (2030 LaPorte) .545 average, 6 hits, and 5 runs scored. Lilly (Hebron 2030) with 7 rbis and 5 runs scored. Emily (2030 Lake Central) batted .385 while scoring 7 times. Taylor (2030 Plymouth) batting .364, 1.00 contact percentage, and team high 75 percent quality at bats. Zoey (2031 SSHA) batting .353 with 4 extra base hits, 6rbis,

Defensively- gotta give a bit of a shout out to Eleni (2031), Emma (2030 Hobart), Ava (2031 Hanover) for their defensive play over the weekend!

Way to work ladies, continue the Glory Way and lets go back to work to improve!
