The Simple Speed Formula:
Every athlete wants to be faster.
Every coach wants their athletes to be faster.
But coaches don't want their athletes lifting heavy weights because it'll make them slow.
This is the opposite of what lifting heavy weights will do.
Because speed cannot exist without strength. It's impossible.
Speed is strength expressed in an explosive manner. Without the strength foundation, there's no speed.
It's this simple. If athletes want to be faster, they need to be stronger.
Parents - this summer is the perfect time for your athlete to get stronger & faster.

Parents: if your athlete is exhausted after workouts…
Sweaty.
Breathing hard.
Saying “Coach crushed us today.”
That doesn’t automatically mean they’re getting faster.
🚨 Conditioning is NOT the same as speed training.
Conditioning builds endurance. Speed builds separation.
True speed work looks like:
• Short sprints (10–30 yards)
• Full recovery between reps
• High intent
• Low volume
• Technical coaching
If an athlete is tired while sprinting…they’re not training speed anymore. They’re training fatigue.
We see this a lot with athletes around Cedar Park & Leander — working incredibly hard, but not actually improving top-end speed.
Both conditioning and speed matter. But they must be trained differently.
If your athlete feels “in shape” but isn’t separating in games, it may not be effort.
It may be their training routine.
Our summer training camp is the perfect opportunity for your athlete to bring their sport performance to the next level.

Most athletes think explosiveness comes from doing more speed drills.
More sprints.
More jumps.
More agility work.
But that’s only part of it.
Explosiveness isn’t just moving fast…
It’s how much force an athlete can produce — and how quickly they can produce it.
If an athlete isn’t strong enough, there’s not much force to use.
If they lack coordination, that force doesn’t transfer.
That’s why a lot of athletes stay stuck…
Doing more work, but not actually getting more explosive.
Real explosiveness comes from:
Strength
Coordination
Speed
When those are built together, everything changes.
Faster first step.
Higher jumps.
More powerful movement in games.
Train for the result… not just the drill.
