Senior spotlight!

We want to congratulate Mr. Abhiram Jetty for graduating from Round Rock High School back in May! Abhiram started training with SBN Ben Johnson at Aim and Focus Karate. He started training with us after Aim and Focus closed. He tested for second degree black belt this April, with his brother Arjun!

This Fall, Abhiram is attending the University of Texas at Austin, studying Computer Science with Robotics Honors. He plans to to pursue a job in robotics in the future and is currently interested in assistive robotics like prosthetics and robotic wheelchairs. Can you tell he's brilliant??

Senior spotlight! We are so proud of KSN Eesha Vishnu as she graduated from Round Rock High School last Thursday. KSN Vishnu started training in 2014 when she was 6 years old. She tested for 3rd Dan and Kyo Sa in October of 2023.
She is moving to the University of Pittsburg this fall to study Molecular Biology on the pre-med track. She plans to explore the east coast, continue training and explore other martial arts, focus on medical research revolving around underrepresented groups, and to apply to med school to become a pathologist specializing in women’s health!
Way to go KSN!!!!

Congratulations to Ms. Maddie Nguyen as she graduates today from Leander High School! Maddie started training at NMA when she was only 3 years old! She tested for second dan in October 2021. She had the honor of training with her younger brother, Maddox. Maddie is going to be attending Texas State University this fall majoring in Nursing. She plans to be a pediatric nurse practitioner! We are so proud of you Maddie!!!!!

Thank you Sa Bom Nim Jackie Christian and The Karate School-Humble, TX for hosting the Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan Association, Inc. Region 6 Spring Dan Test last Saturday! You and your team did a spectacular job hosting!!

Congratulations to all candidates! Each of you composed yourselves as serious martial artists throughout the entire day of clinics and testing.

To the teachers in Region 6 - Each Dan test our candidates get better and better. Congratulations on a job well done. I am blessed and humbled to be a part of such an amazing group of martial arts professionals.

Team NMA, I am so proud of you. All your hard work over the last few months paid off. Y'all represented NMA well.

We had a great time at the ACE Invitational 2026. Thank you SBN Holt and Golden Hands Martial Arts for hosting. It was especially neat to see the Taiko Drum Demonstration. Great job team NMA!
