🏐 WELCOME TO THE AJV SAND FAMILY, COACH KATIE! 🏐

We’re excited to welcome Coach Katie Martin to the AJV Sand coaching staff! 🌊☀️

Katie brings 13+ years of coaching experience and more than a decade of high-level competitive beach volleyball experience to our program. Most recently, she spent two seasons as a Coach for the UTEP Beach Volleyball program, where she focused on player development, confidence, and helping athletes take the next step in their game.

Before coaching at UTEP, Katie competed for four collegiate seasons at Boise State and UTEP, where she was part of UTEP’s inaugural beach volleyball program and earned MVP honors in its first season. During her senior season, she set—and continues to hold—the UTEP single-season wins record.

Her playing career began at just 14 years old, competing on the VOTR women’s open semi-professional circuit and in AVP qualifiers, often as one of the youngest athletes in the field. She brings that competitive experience, technical knowledge, and passion for athlete development to the sand every day.

We’re so excited for our athletes to learn from Coach Katie and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make at AJV Sand! 💙🏐

🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨

We’re beyond excited to welcome Coach Erin Cooperman (formerly Martin) to the AJV Sand coaching staff! Erin brings elite experience as a former Division I beach volleyball athlete and college coach!🌴🏐

She represented the University of New Mexico, Loyola Marymount, and Boise State, where she competed at the No. 1 pair, won a WCC Championship, and became one of the top players in program history. She also competed in the USA World Collegiate Games, AVP qualifiers, and Colorado’s VOTR semi-pro circuit.

With more than 10 years of coaching experience—including club, high school, and collegiate coaching—Erin is passionate about developing athletes of all ages and helping them build confidence, elevate their game, and achieve their goals.

Her experience includes serving as the University of Central Arkansas Beach Volleyball Head Coach. She also served as the Head Varsity and JV Volleyball Coach at Riverstone High School, founding the beach volleyball program at Colorado Elite Volleyball Club, and worked as Director of Performance at The Lab Beach Volleyball Club.

This is an incredible opportunity for our athletes to train with one of the best! Whether you’re just getting started or have dreams of playing in college, there’s never been a better time to join AJV Sand.
