🌽 IOWA MONEYBALL SATURDAY SHOWDOWN

We’re excited to announce our first weekend Iowa Moneyball tournament!

On Saturday, November 7th, we’ll bring together five divisions across two locations for a full day of competitive pickleball. This will be our largest tournament format yet, with a projected total prize pool of $2,000–$4,000 depending on registration totals.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7

5 DIVISIONS • 2 LOCATIONS • 1 DAY
💰 $2,000–$4,000 total prize pool
🏆 Payouts to the top 3 in every division
📈 All matches entered into DUPR
💵 $40/player per event

📍 D***S PICKLEBALL — URBANDALE

• Women’s Open — $400 1st Place*

2:30 PM
• Mixed Open — $800 1st Place*

📍 POLK COUNTY PICKLEBALL — ANKENY

10:00 AM
• All Gender 9.0 DUPR Cap — $400 1st Place*

2:30 PM
• Mixed 9.0 DUPR Cap — $400 1st Place*

We scheduled the Mixed divisions for the afternoon so players have the option to compete in two events and make a full day of it.

We’ve had players travel from outside the Des Moines area for our Monday night Moneyballs, and one of the reasons we wanted to host a Saturday tournament was to make Iowa Moneyball more accessible to players who haven't been able to make a weekday event.

Whether you’re coming from Central Iowa or making the trip from elsewhere in the state or region, we’d love to have you compete. The goal is to put together strong fields, provide plenty of meaningful matches, and create a competitive tournament atmosphere for every division.

🏓 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — SPECIAL OLYMPICS PICKLEBALL! 🏓

We’re looking for a few more awesome volunteers to help with Special Olympics Pickleball for the remaining 6 weeks of the season!

📅 Tuesdays, Aug. 18–Sept. 22
⏰ 5:30–6:30 PM
📍 Jones Pickleball Courts

Athletes range from brand-new beginners to competitive players. Volunteers can help with drills, skill stations, gameplay, encouragement, and just making it FUN.

No Special Olympics coaching experience needed! Pickleball knowledge is helpful, but they’ll get you acquainted with everything.

Can’t physically volunteer but have some great drills or game ideas? They’d love those too!
