What a season. ❤️

We couldn’t be more proud of these boys. Ending the year with a tournament championship was an incredible way to finish, but the championship rings are not what we all will remember most.

We will remember the way they showed up for one another, the laughs in the dugout, the encouragement after mistakes, the celebrations after big moments, and the genuine friendships that were built along the way. This group became so much more than teammates, they became true, genuine friends beyond the field.

Watching them grow together, compete with heart, and create memories they’ll carry with them for years has been such a blessing. Championships are special, but the bond these boys built is what made this season truly unforgettable.

Congratulations, boys. You earned every bit of this ending, and we can’t wait to see where the game and life takes each of you next. ❤️⚾

CHAMPS! 🏆 Grand Lake Mariners 16U Dominate the Best of Ohio – Ohio Valley Invite

What. A. Weekend. 🔥

Our Grand Lake Mariners 16U squad came into Dayton ready to make a statement, and we delivered. With five wins across four days, we not only went undefeated in tournament play, but walked away as champions, improving our season record to 8-1.

Here’s how it went down:

⚾ Game 1: Shutout Statement
We opened strong with an 8-0 win over Next Level Ohio Red. Triplett was on fire, driving in four runs. Schulte-Arnold, and Triplett combined for a huge five-run fourth inning. Tidwell dominated on the mound with five shutout innings and six strikeouts.

⚾ Game 2: Survived and Conquered
In a Friday nail-biter, we edged out Kentucky Platinum 16U 7-6. Early blasts by Tidwell and a 2-run homer by Bassinger set the tone. Triplett closed it out for the save after key RBIs by Hughes and Bassinger. Grit and composure sealed the win.

⚾ Game 3: Bassinger Brings the Heat
Saturday was all about dominance, with Bassinger throwing a 6-inning, 11-strikeout, 1-hit shutout in a 9-0 victory over Indiana Venom. Our bats exploded with 15 hits, led by May and Triplett, each with 3 hits, and 2 RBIs from Schulte-Arnold.

⚾ Game 4: Late-Inning Heroics
Tied 4-4 late against P413 Baseball, Parker stepped up with a clutch 2-RBI single in the sixth to give us a 6-4 win. Houser went six strong innings, allowing zero earned runs. Burden locked it down for the save. Team effort. Big-time poise.

⚾ Game 5: Sealing the Championship
We closed out the weekend with a 6-1 win over T3 Warhawks Mendoza. Bassinger stayed hot with 3 RBIs, and Burden shut things down on the mound with five scoreless innings. Tidwell and Dues added to the offensive punch, each with multiple hits.

Triplett Drives In 4 To Lead Grand Lake Mariners 16U Past Next Level Ohio Red 16u

Triplett drove in four runs on three hits to lead Grand Lake Mariners 16U past Next Level Ohio Red 16u 8-0 on Thursday. Triplett singled in the third inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

Grand Lake Mariners 16U won thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning. Gavin Comer singled, scoring one run, Brodee Schulte Arnold doubled, scoring two runs, and Triplett singled, scoring two runs.

A ground out by Comer put Grand Lake Mariners 16U on the board in the bottom of the second.

Grand Lake Mariners 16U added two runs in the third after Triplett singled to center field.

Tidwell earned the win for Grand Lake Mariners 16U. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. James Merry took the loss for Next Level Ohio Red 16u. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits, striking out three and walking two.

Carter Flores collected two hits for Grand Lake Mariners 16U in two at bats.

Blaine Fortner went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Next Level Ohio Red 16u in hits. Next Level Ohio Red 16u turned three double plays in the game.

Next up for Grand Lake Mariners 16U is a game at Kentucky Platinum 16U on Friday.
