The best transformation isn’t when life is suddenly easier but when you leave feeling a little more capable of handling it. ❤️

I love seeing this spotlight! Be so proud of yourself, Shannon Dee!

Member Spotlight: Shannon Dechant

Meet Shannon, a 52-year-old mom of college boys who brings incredible energy and dedication to our RecPlex community! Over the past year and a half, Shannon has taken total control of her wellness journey, losing an amazing 45 pounds with the help of a GLP-1 medication paired with a powerhouse workout routine.

You can find her shaking things up at the RecPlex in Zumba with Tina Durkin , a favorite habit of hers since 2019, as well as powering through REFIT® classes every Monday and Wednesday with Debbie Currie. To complement her high-energy cardio sessions, Shannon also practices yoga four to five times a week at Ignite Yoga.

For Shannon, staying active is all about longevity and vitality; her primary goals are maintaining her heart health, building strength, keeping her flexibility, and most importantly, proactively putting off diabetes. We are incredibly proud to have Shannon as a vibrant, inspiring part of our RecPlex family!
