Reminder about Runnin Elks registration! Sessions start this Sunday, Sept. 13th – Sunday night practices only (6-7:30pm) through Nov. 15th, and 6v6 tournaments on Oct. 18th and Nov. 22nd.

Your Runnin’ Elks jersey from this summer’s session will be used, or they are available for purchase if you did not attend those sessions. This program is a great opportunity to keep up their skills in the off-season with minimal commitment!

Excited to be back next season coaching our 5/6 boys! 🥍

As part of our player development plan, we’ll be implementing a wall ball standard: players must pass their wall ball test before moving into a d-pole, goalie, or face-off role, regardless, if your player played with one last season. They'll have to earn it back. These positions require some of our best stick handlers.

Our goal is to build confident, fundamentally sound players who are prepared for the next level. The wall ball test helps coaches evaluate stick skills, confidence, positioning, and where each player can best contribute.

I challenge every family to spend time each week practicing the basics. I’ve seen 3rd graders pass the 5/6 test and 5th/6th graders struggle with the 3/4 test. Consistent scooping, passing, and catching is the foundation for success.

Players will earn opportunities through effort and development, and coaches will place each player where they can continue to grow while helping the team succeed.

Thanks to everyone who came out for open field today. We appreciate your commitment and the extra work you're putting in.

We will not have open field on Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Our next open field will be Saturday, July 11, from 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Happy Father's Day, LAX dads! Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.

FYI: I'll be hosting an open field at Magsig this Saturday from 9:30–10:30 AM for players entering 3rd–6th grade.

For our 5/6 team, the focus will be on individual stick skills. Players entering 5th grade should be able to pass the 3/4 wall ball test with their short sticks.

We'll be working on wall ball, stick skills, and athletic movement. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!🥍

Hi everyone! I wanted to send a reminder about, Runnin’ Elks.

Starting this Wednesday behind Cline: K-4th will practice 5:30-6:30pm, 5th-8th & HS will practice 6:30-8pm.

Drop-in players are welcome, but there is a
$10 charge per session and a waiver will need to be completed.

Gus and I stuck around to cheer on our 5/6 boys. These fellas were on fire today! Foot on the gas the entire time.

Congrats, boys, on winning the championship game today! Great effort, great energy, and great team lacrosse all tournament long. Way to represent! 🥍🏆

Amazing job today 3/4 boys!!! 4th overall in the tournament! 2-0-1!

Not a bad way to end our season!

Our last 10 games: 7-2-1. Compare that to how we started, and it’s a completely different team. The growth, effort, and toughness this group showed all season was awesome to watch. The boys kept improving, kept battling, and finished the season playing their best lacrosse at the right time.

Proud of this team! 🥍

Coast to Coast:

In lacrosse “coast to coast” means a player carries the ball the entire length of the field and scores themselves without passing it off.

It usually happens after:
A goalie makes a save and runs the field.

A defender causes a turnover and takes off in transition.

A midfielder wins a ground ball and outruns everyone.

James Graf and Colin Woods both went coast to coast in last weekend's game! Congratulations boys!
