We are thrilled to share some exciting news from the Chambersburg Ballet! 🩰❤️

Earlier this week, the Chambersburg Ballet’s board president Noel Purdy accepted a grant from The Palmer Family Foundation Fund to support a **free community performance of **Giselle Act II**, coming June 5 next year. **Save the date!** 🩰✨

We are also grateful to have received a **$7,500 Arts for All grant** this season, which will allow us to provide a free outreach performance of **The Nutcracker** for all CASD 5th graders. This is one of our favorite days of the year, and we can’t wait to share the magic of ballet with these students! ❤️

It was wonderful to celebrate alongside so many fellow arts organizations, colleagues, volunteers, donors, and community members whose generosity—through financial support, skills-in-kind, time, and talent—helps make the arts thrive in Franklin County. **It truly takes a village**, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a dedicated arts community. Thank you to the The Foundation for Enhancing Communities for making these grant opportunities available to our community!!

And if you haven’t heard yet, the **Capitol Theatre is celebrating its 100th Anniversary on October 1st!** 🎉 Our Chambersburg Ballet studios are located right above the marquee, and we’re excited to be part of the celebration with a performance on the main stage! 🩰

The event is **free and open to the community**, so come out, tour this historic theatre, enjoy some wonderful entertainment, and meet the many arts organizations working to bring cultural opportunities to our community.

✨ **A Rewarding Moment** ✨

Some moments are especially rewarding because they reflect the hard work, dedication, and artistry of our dancers. ❤️

While Chambersburg Ballet is **not a competition school**, we believe that performance opportunities are an important part of a dancer’s continued learning and artistic development. Our students have opportunities to perform throughout the year, and when a dancer has an interest in competing, our Artistic Director is available to provide coaching and support.

Last spring, two of our company dancers - Fiona Morris and Jayden Hull - took the stage at **Talent Explosion**—and placed at the top in the ballet categories! 🩰🏆

📢Join us on August 29th, 2026 at 11:00-1:00pm for our annual Company Audition!

All dancers ages 11 thru Adult are invited to join us for this season-long program. When you join the Company, you get priority casting in all of our Mainstage Productions, and a complimentary “Company Class” on Saturdays from 11:00am-12:30pm each week!

There is no tuition fee for Company, but there will be applied a $100 Production fee per Mainstage production throughout the season (Up to $300 per season)

You do not need to be a part of Chambersburg Ballet to be a part of our Company, though it is recommended to at least join us for a class throughout the week, depending on your individual skill. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE EN POINTE TO JOIN COMPANY)

✨ An Uplifting Moment: Paquita ✨

There’s nothing quite like the moment when months of training come together on stage. Last season, our Company dancers brought the power, precision, and beauty of Paquita to life—and moments like this are one of the many rewards of being part of Chambersburg Ballet’s Dance Company.

For dancers ages 11 through adult, Company membership offers additional performance opportunities throughout the season, along with preferred casting in Chambersburg Ballet productions. Youth Company dancers also commit to additional classes to support the training needed for the demands of company-level performance.

Ballet belongs in our community. ❤️🩰

One of our favorite moments from last season was bringing the magic of The Nutcracker directly to students at Falling Spring Elementary.

Through community outreach, Chambersburg Ballet works to make classical ballet accessible to diverse audiences across Franklin County. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the inspiration and joy of this art form.

Now it’s time to bring that inspiration into the studio!
