Quick reminder! If your student has not done the safety training, they will need to come to the safety training in my classroom (room 6 at the junior high) today through Friday from 3:30 to 4:30.
If they have already taken the safety test this year or last year, they do NOT need to do it again!
If your student is unable to attend any days this week or if you have any questions, please let me know via email at your earliest convenience at [email protected]!

Hello all!
For those of you who missed Monday's meeting, here are the highlights.
-All students who are new to the archery team and have not done the safety training will need to so in my classroom after school starting Monday the 5th. If a student has already done this or is in Outdoor Skills this year, they will not need to go to the after school training next week.
-Hunter's Education needs to be done by the second week of January (for now). This can be done in person or online. If this was done last year, they do not need to do this again!
-Archery fees need to be paid to me. Activity fees need to be paid ASAP and that will be paid to the athletic directors or online on the school website.
-After school practice officially starts on Monday, October 19th. This will be from 3:30 to 5:30.
-Emergency release forms need to be completed before after school practice begins! Your student will not be allowed on the line until those are filled out!
-If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected] because I do not respond to messages sent on this platform.
-One final note, this will be my final year coaching at Chandler. I will still be teaching at Chandler. Coaching these teams the last few years has been a joy, an honor, and I truly will miss it.

Hello all!

I hope everyone's school year is starting off well! I look forward to a wonderful archery season!
We will be having our parent meeting for 7th - 12th graders, who are interested in doing archery competitively, on September 25th at 5 pm in the archery building. We will be going over items for new comers, tournament dates, etc.

Congratulations Caden! We are all so proud of you!

In February, the most-decorated archer in Oklahoma National Archery in the Schools history competed for the final time at State! Chandler High School Senior Caden Eyestone has competed in OKNASP for 10 years.

In that time, he achieved:
8 x Oklahoma State High individual
9 x NASP Nationals qualifier with 5 top 10 finishes
8 x NASP World Championship qualifier with 4 top 10 finishes

Congrats to everyone on a great day! A lot of archers beat their personal scores today and we had three archers place! Caden Eyestone placed first and Logan Hatton placed third in the high school boys division! Shelby Grissam placed second in the high school girls division!
I could not be prouder of these archers and the work that they have put into this sport. I am excited about seeing what the next year holds!

Hello all!

Quick reminder and some additional information about tomorrow! All archers will be shooting at 2 PM at the Pavilion at the OKC Fairgrounds. Archers will be released by intercom to go up to the building. ALL ARCHERS MUST BE IN SCHOOL. If your child is not in school, they will not be able to go to state!
Seating will be limited, but you cannot bring in lawn chairs! Any outside chairs will not be allowed in!
There is no gate fee to go into state. I have not heard about concessions being there, so if your archer needs snacks, they will need to bring some!
