Weekend Roundup: Ironman to Eugene and everything in between, big weekend for the Hardloop Crew!

Update from Tri Coach :

Dayne Jordan - Galveston 70.3. - Dayne put together a solid effort across the board to net a 9 min PR for Galveston 70.3.

Split times were:
Swim: 37:13
Bike: 2:39:43 - 21 mph avg
Run: 1:42:32 - sub 8:00/mile pace

Dayne moved up 19 places in his AG with his strong 1:42 half marathon!

Anthony Jordan - Ironman Texas - AJ took on his first full Ironman and ended up with a strong debut of 9:46:07. AJ overcame a taper week illness (touch and go on morning of the race), hamstring issues on the run, and crushed his first full.

Split times were:
Swim: 1:10:40
Bike: 5:18:22 - 21 mph avg
Run: 3:09:14- 7:11/mile pace

AJ started the run in 44th position in a very fast Age group. After the 6th fastest run in the AG, he moved up to 19th in AG. Great way to finish the first attempt at this distance !

Both of these Hardloop athletes showed that a well-executed race plan capped by a fast run results excellent races!!

Congratulations Dayne and AJ on the fantastic races!!!

Coach threw down on the anchor leg of the Bayou Bash Relay averaging 4:55/mi for over 2 miles to help the Houston elite squad take the win.

Congrats to all our Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon runners today, quite a few PR’s and breakthrough performances. The marathon MVP goes to .hayden with an impressive 2:45 in oppressive conditions at the Marathon for a PR and 10th overall! Plenty more race result updates to come. If you raced this weekend, drop your results in the comments below ⬇️

Fall Marathon builds are beginning now and we’ll have a large contingent with in-person Houston meetups ahead of Chicago as a key focus this Fall. Other athlete groups forming around Leadville, Jack and Jill, Marine Corp, Berlin, NYC, Houston and more.
