2026 AAU Taekwondo Arizona Medals

Arizona Junior & Under 30 Male Teams Captures Gold at 2026 Canada Open Taekwondo Championships

Junior male athlete Daneau Kim and Under 30 Male athlete, Kevin Meng, earned the Gold Medals in the Junior Male/U30 Male Team Poomsae division at the prestigious 2026 Canada Open Taekwondo Championships held in Calgary, Alberta.

Kevin Meng also captured 3rd place in U30 Male individual event.

Daneau Kim and Kevin Meng represented the AAU Taekwondo National Sports Poomsae Team, further highlighting the strength and depth of American poomsae talent on the international stage. Their victory reflects years of disciplined training, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

The gold medal performances not only brings international recognition to Arizona’s growing taekwondo community but also serves as inspiration for young athletes pursuing excellence in martial arts and global competition.

2024 KIMUNYONG CUP INTERNATIONAL OPEN TAEKWONDO INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
I would like to thank the KimUnYong Sport Organizing Committee members and AAU Taekwondo for allowing me to officiate for this event. Special thanks to GM Jung Yongwon and GM Park Soo Hyeon for their leadership and leading the referees to a successful event. My team leader, Feng Ming Tou, thank you for your support and trusting me to work in your group. I received "Special Achievement" award and I want to thank everyone, without your support, this award is meaningless. I am humble to be part of this event with support of my family, peers, and co-workers. I wish everyone a safe travel home. Thank you this experiences and it was nice to friendly faces.
