If you think your high school grades don’t matter as much as your athletic ability, well think again.
This is the percentage of colleges that can recruit you by your Grade Point Average (GPA):
4.0 GPA - 94%
3.5 GPA - 72%
3.0 GPA - 51%
2.5 GPA - 21%
2.0 GPA - 8%
Your grades will open as many, if not more, doors than anything you do with your athletic skills.
You will be provided with many more options and not be subjected to limitations.
Remember you are STUDENT-ATHLETES….Student comes first for a reason. School is the priority and athletics is just a bonus.
College Baseball is better than ever. Find your opportunity that fits what you want. Each level is filled with many dudes. Make sure you have the Grades to keep all your options open as they open many, many doors. Playing whatever sports you want is secondary.
Remember you are a STUDENT-ATHLETE.

My inspiration for RBD Athletics...RBD stands for the first initial of my three kids...Russell, Brennah and Dallas!
I was very blessed to have had the honor to coach and simply watch my kids play the sport(s) they love. Time flies and I will always cherish the moments I was able to be on the field with them or simply be in the stands and cheer them on!
I have taken some time off for personal reasons the past couple of years to get refocused and recharged and it's time to get back to what I have a passion for...Training and Developing young student-athletes to assist them get to where they ultimately want to be.

College recruitment advice:
Keep *offers* off of social media.
Honestly, nobody cares and it can only be counter-productive for college coaches (remember they’re called coaches, not “recruiters.”)
Text your family and friends if dying to share. “Look at me” can wait for the actual decision.
If making a commitment announcement, do so AFTER you have contacted those colleges that were in close, serious contact for recruitment. It shows character to contact those before an announcement.
