Tim Feldmann Yoga Workshops A full weekend of yoga workshops, Mysore practices, and Q&A with seasoned Ashtanga Yoga teacher, Tim Feldmann!

Phoenix and Arizona has been a joyful place for me over the years.

Somewhat early on I met a few folks from there that I have spend many a fun moment with over the years. early years teaching in Phoenix with the Walter/BurningMan crew, teaching to the good people in Flagstaff, motorcycling in Hopi land, Navaho Nation, Monument Valley, Sedona and more. Returned many times to teach at different Ashtanga set-ups as the landscape seemed to keep shifting and this year I have the pleasure to work with Sean and Emily for a return on December 1-3 at the SAN Center in Phoenix. I find myself wondering who might show up as I am uncertain if the ashtanga community still exists out there west.

Ashtanga is not easy. our tradition takes its name from patanjali’s ambitious aspiration towards a liberated soul, finding that making the body fit, creates foundation of the focussed mind which is a valuable and necessary step towards the end goal of Samadih in some distant lifetime. The almost theoretical promise of enlightenment doesn't need to be an issue as our quality of life seriously increases as we climb the yogic ladder of health, enjoyment, appreciation, clarity, wisdom, kindness and compassion slowly finds its way into our daft heads and hardened hearts.

So, I can’t blame anyone for finding it hard to stay on the ashtanga wagon in the frequency of changing teachers, shalas and communities - let’s face it, getting on the mat is hard enough with a thriving community to support us, getting on the mat solo every day that much more of a grind.

Anyhow, I am curios and hopeful to see old and new faces on this short weekend stint. if you feel like practice, a new hint on your least favourite asana and some laughs with some good people, then do feel welcome to come along.
