Behind every race team is a long list of people who help make race day possible.

Some build engines.

Some turn wrenches.

Some offer advice.

And some have been helping keep our driver in one piece for more than 20 years.

Today's race prep started a little differently.

Crew maintenance before race car maintenance. 😄🏁

Now it's time to get back to the shop and get ready for Dodge City.

A lot can change in a week.

Last Friday we thought we’d be heading to Kansas.

Instead, we found answers.

This Friday, Dakota is flying home from England, Tanner is finishing his first week at a new job, and the team is getting ready to spend another day together in the shop.

The race car isn’t the only thing moving forward.

And honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts of this journey.

Most people see a race car on a lift.

We see a family finding answers together.

Last weekend didn’t go according to plan, but some of our biggest steps forward happened anyway.

🏁

The helmet is on.

The belts are tight.

The engine hasn’t fired yet.

The crowd doesn’t see this part.

The quiet moment before the noise.

The last few seconds alone with your thoughts before you roll onto the track.

We didn’t get to race this weekend. We still managed to put on a show.

But we did get something we desperately needed.

Answers.

After Mother Nature changed our plans, a local track gave us the opportunity to make a few laps during a break in the racing program.

What followed was one of the most encouraging moments we've had all season.

The car responded.

The changes worked.

The confidence grew.

For months we've been sharing the work happening behind the scenes. This weekend we finally got a glimpse of what that work is starting to produce.

Is it perfect?

Not even close.

Do we still have things to learn?

Absolutely.

But for the first time in a while, we drove away knowing we're headed in the right direction.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, watched a few laps, asked questions, and shared in the excitement with us.

Now it's time to keep learning and get ready for Dodge City.

Nobody won a race this weekend. A lot of people won anyway.

Sometimes progress isn’t measured in trophies.

Sometimes it’s measured in firsts.

A first test session that gave us real answers.

A first weekend where the car started talking back.

A first day at a new job.

A first international work trip.

A first time finding a place you belong.

A first glimpse of what this team might be capable of becoming.

None of it happened overnight.

None of it happened without hard work.

And none of it happens alone.

We’re still learning.
We’re still improving.
We’re still chasing our goals.

But every once in a while it’s important to stop and appreciate how far you’ve come.

Today feels like one of those days.

This is how you know you're a race team...

Your race gets canceled.

The trailer stays loaded.

The driver still flies in.

You find a track willing to let you test.

You spend the weekend chasing answers instead of trophies.

And somehow, by Sunday afternoon, you're heading home feeling like you won anyway.

This wasn't the weekend we planned.

But it might have been the weekend we needed.

The late model gave us valuable data.

Changes were made.

Confidence was built.

Questions were answered.

And every lap helped us understand this car a little better.

Would we have rather been racing?

Absolutely.

But sometimes progress doesn't come with a checkered flag.

Sometimes it comes with a notebook full of notes, a few extra laps, and a clearer direction for the next race.

The trailer is unpacked.

Dakota is headed back to the airport.

And we're already looking forward to the next time this team gets to unload.

🏁

Sometimes progress doesn’t come with a trophy.

Sometimes it comes with a notebook full of changes.

A few extra laps.

A conversation with your crew.

And… a race car that finally starts talking back.

Yesterday wasn’t the weekend we planned.

But it might have been exactly the weekend we needed.

🏁

06/05/2026

Well… this weekend didn’t go exactly as planned.

The race was canceled before we ever left Colorado thanks to rain and muddy pit conditions.

But racers aren’t very good at sitting still.

So Plan B quickly became a test session.

The trailer stayed loaded.
Dakota still flew in.
The crew still gathered.
The tools still came out.

More laps. More learning. More seat time.

Because every opportunity to work on this program matters.

And while we’re not exactly where we thought we’d be this weekend, we’re still moving forward.

Sometimes progress looks like race night.

Sometimes progress looks like a shop full of people determined to make the next race night even better.

Either way, we’re grateful to be doing what we love.

🏁

What’s the best Plan B you’ve ever had when Plan A fell apart?

06/04/2026

“Can Dakota Dillin put together a breakout weekend in Kansas?”

That’s the question the Revival Super Dirt Series asked this week.

The truth is, nobody knows what this weekend will bring.

What we do know is how much work has gone into getting here.

Months of rebuilding.
Hours in the shop.
Countless setup changes.
Research.
Learning.
Seat time.
More learning.
More adjustments.

Racing has a funny way of testing your patience. Sometimes progress doesn’t show up on the scoreboard right away.

But if you’ve been following along, you’ve seen it.

Every time Dakota unloads, he’s a little better.
Every race weekend, he gains experience.
Every lap teaches something new.

That’s what we’re chasing this weekend.

Not perfection.

Progress.

The trailer loads tonight , and we’ll point the nose toward Kansas tomorrow knowing we’ve done everything we can to prepare.

Now it’s time to go see what we’ve learned.
