In an abundance of caution and to proactively do our part to limit the spread and impact of coronavirus in the community, Fairfax Jiu Jitsu Academy will be closing for one week beginning Friday, March 13th. We will reassess at the end of the week and determine whether it is prudent to open or remain closed at that time. Although we had already instituted additional safety measures and hygiene protocols to reduce the potential for transmission, we make this decision not just to protect our students, but the community at large. The potential is high for this pandemic to impact vulnerable populations and seriously burden our local healthcare facilities based on what is occurring right now in Italy and around the world. The idea is to “flatten the curve” through social distancing to slow the rate so that hospitals are not pushed past capacity.

Thank you for your support of our academy. Every member of FJJ will receive a membership credit for any time that we are closed due to coronavirus. We GREATLY value our students and families and thank you in advance for your understanding and patience during this time. We will keep you updated on the situation as things change or develop. Please do your part to protect our community and slow the transmission of the virus.
