🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ A Busy Saturday Ahead at Crooked Creek Park!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We're excited to welcome Chapin High School and visiting teams for the Lake Murray Invitational tomorrow at Crooked Creek Park!

As a result, the park grounds, surrounding roads, and parking areas will be busier than usual throughout first half of the day. While the event will bring increased traffic to the area, the front parking lot will remain reserved for Crooked Creek Park patrons and guests.

We are proud to partner with our local schools and love seeing our park serve as a gathering place for student athletes and the community. If you're planning a visit tomorrow, we encourage you to allow a little extra travel time and be prepared for larger crowds than normal.

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, mateys — the pirate ship is BACK! ⚓️

After spending a little time in dry dock, our pirate ship playground is officially repaired and ready for little pirates to climb aboard again. 🏴‍☠️🛝

And we couldn’t send her back out to sea without giving a BIG shoutout to our awesome Maintenance Crew. 🔨🧰 These are some of the hardworking guys behind the scenes who keep our parks, playgrounds, and facilities safe, repaired, and ready for all the fun.

Thanks to their hard work, the repairs are complete, the playground is ready, and adventure awaits.

Our Afternoon Safari afterschool program is growing, and our play areas are getting lots of love from our participants each day! We're looking for donations to help replenish some of our most-used toys, games, and creative play materials.

If you have any gently used items from our wish list that your family has outgrown, we'd be grateful for the opportunity to give them a new life in our program. New items are welcome too!

Donations can be dropped off at Crooked Creek Park during regular business hours.

Thank you for helping us create fun, engaging spaces where kids can learn, play, and make memories after school. ❤️

🌮 A recent Friday in our Middle School Afterschool Program was all about tacos!

Our students got hands-on in the kitchen, learning food preparation skills while creating their own taco creations. It's just one of the many ways our middle school participants spend their afternoons, building independence, trying new things, and having fun with friends.

We will be closed today, Monday 9/7 all day. We will re-open Tuesday 9/8 normal hours. Have a safe and happy Labor Day!
