On 2/26, Brooke Dynes & Max Platz represented NDCL at the OHSAA State Swim Meet! Dynes finished 4th in the 100-breastsroke and 9th in the 200-IM for Girls DII. Platz took 4th place in both the 50-freestyle and 50-backstroke in Boys Paralympic. Congratulations to Brooke & Max on an outstanding 2025-26 season!

On 1/30, Ice Hockey defeated Bay 6-2 to clinch the Blue Division title outright for the first time in NDCL history! The Lions finished the 2025-26 season 12-0 in conference play and 14-3-1 overall. The team also qualified for the Baron Cup Tournament for the first time since 2016. It was a season that will go down in the history books for NDCL Ice Hockey!

The energy and enthusiasm in McGarry Gym was electric all week long ⚡️It was a successful camp filled with basketball fundamentals, skills, competition, games, and more! Thank you to Head Coach Pete DeMichele and his coaching staff for organizing such a terrific youth camp. The future is bright for the NDCL Girls Basketball program 🦁🏀‼️

On 1/12, as part of the Cavs Elite HS Hoops Series, NDCL Girls Basketball played on the homecourt of the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena for the second straight season! The Lions defeated West Geauga 63-36 and following their win on the big stage, enjoyed the Cavs vs Jazz game that evening. An unforgettable night for the Girls Basketball program!

NDCL is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Ryan Miller as Athletic Director! Mr. Miller joined the NDCL Athletics staff in the office this week. On 1/17, Brooke Dynes won NCC titles in the 100-breaststroke and 200-IM events, her third straight conference championship in the 100-breast! She set a new school, conference, and pool record in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:03.98. Dynes was also named NCC MVP of the NCC Championships for the second consecutive season. It was a stellar senior season for Brooke Dynes!

On 10/23, Varsity Volleyball won their 7th straight district title! Following their district championship, the Lions won the program's 5th regional title under 18-year head coach Tom Ray to clinch a state final four berth. Varsity Volleyball had a dominant run to the state tournament, defeating Madison 3-0, Cloverleaf 3-1, Canfield 3-0, Gilmour 3-0, and Kenston 3-0. It was another high-achieving season for NDCL Volleyball!
