The Fire Dont Care Conference

Conference Update-

Unfortunately at this time I regret to inform you that the Fire Don't Care Conference must be postponed. I apologize for this and please know this decision was not taken lightly but ultimately was necessary. In order to provide the vision I have and to build on what the team did the first year, I have to go back to the drawing board as to not short change the mission of this conference. I do not know what the future will hold for this but please know, if it is meant to be in the future, it will. Thank you for the support and understanding.

Oh technology. Registration was supposed to go live this morning but unfortunately I am having issues with the registration portal. I apologize for this and am currently working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible!

The FDC Conference is a 5 day event hosted in Kent, Ohio September 9-13th 2024 Whether you are seasoned at teaching, or have always wanted to share your message but have never had the platform, we believe all that are passionate add value to the job. The Fire Don't Care Conference is back! 5 days of lectures and hands on training. The Lord has had a different path for me to navigate the last few years but he has blessed me with the strength to tackle this adventure again.

Good morning. This is not an easy post for me to write but I felt it important to remain transparent with all of you. Logistical challenges, scheduling conflicts with instructors, and some unforseen personal matters have led me to make a decision to postpone the Fire Don't Care Conference this year. I have tried my hardest to still make something happen over the last several months but unfortunately at this point this would lead to a quality of conference that would not meet the expectations and vision that I had.

I want to thank everyone that supported the FDC conference last year and those who were planning to attend this year. Once again this was not an easy decision to make but I have to do what's best for all of you and my family and friends. I don't want to take 3 steps backwards from what we accomplished last year just to make something happen this year.

With that being said the conference is postponed, not cancelled. We WILL be back next year bigger and better. Quality training is what this is all about. So for those of you still looking for something there are a ton of conferences still going on across the country. Locally we have the University of Akron Advanced Training Days in September, the Oathkeepers Conference in October, and Carolina Fire Days in November just to name a few. Be sure to check them out. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Save The Date!!! The 2nd Annual Fire Don't Care Conference will be held September 12th-16th, 2022 at the Kent American Legion Underwood Hall. It's going to be another great week full of lectures, hands on training, fellowship, and most importantly it is all going to be for a great cause where all profits are donated to charity. This years charitable focus is Mental Health Awareness with the Fire Service. A new, more user friendly website is being created that will have all the info that you need. Stay tuned as speakers and classes will be announced in the coming weeks with registration opening soon.

P.S. If you can't make it for the whole week or are looking for even more training opportunities here in Ohio it's going to be a great 2 months for it. The .fire is hosting their Advanced Fire Days the same week and in October the infamous Oathkeepers Conference is taking place in Norwalk. Ohio is really starting to pop off. Keep your eyes open for more info on these trainings as well.

Very humbled to say that dates for the second annual The Fire Don't Care Conference will be announced very soon!!! After a successful first year and many many lessons learned, our Cadre is working very hard to make 2022 even better.

This year we will be raising money for mental health awareness and su***de prevention within the Fire Service. This started as a way to bring great training to Ohio all for a great cause and We intend to keep that train rolling down the tracks with no end in sight.

In the mean time, here are a few photos from last year to reflect on!!! Thank you all that attended last year for your support and advice. We all truly appreciate it!
