It was a great day and even better turnout for our first hunt club workday of the 2026/ 27 hunt season. Several projects were on the agenda which actually began on Thursday and Friday of this week. Club food plots received an application of lime, the skin shed was relocated to its new location, club annex building was repositioned and our new clubhouse shell infrastructure has been put together. Thank you club members who could join us these past three days. Be on the lookout for our next Haystack Huntclub workday as there’s still much to do and things going on.

Another great Haystack Hunt Club buck taken this afternoon by AJ McAndrew. This 10 point, 19 1/2 inch inside spread was field dressed at 170 estimated. When asked AJ about his hunt he stated, “Right place, right time”. Congratulations AJ McAndrew on your exciting hunt and this great buck!

Another new Haystack Huntclub member scores on a rutting buck. Congratulations to Chuck Hunnicutt on his 7 pointer with a nice kicker just off the brow. Chuck said that the buck was hot on the tail of a doe when he shot. Nice harvest Chuck!
