Hello my friends. I have been out of commission for a while because of life circumstances and brain injury. I am recovering well and will begin teaching private lessons only again next week. If you are still interested let me know and we can have a phone conversation first and discuss everything. I am grateful for your interest and hope that I can share my Gung fu with all of you. My time is very limited and greatly important so I will only take on a certain number of students at once. Of all the people who have trained with me over these decades, I only have one student who is qualified and whom I trust to teach. His name is Dave Richter. If he is willing, we may be able to take on a few more students, with whom he will work. I am not sure who I have spoken with previously since my memory was affected by this injury and some of you vanished the very moment I replied to a message with requirements and a fee. For those of you who have patiently waited, I apologize and I am grateful. It has been a difficult few years with some terrible circumstances and injuries but I am finally in a better position to teach more people and I am also recovering more rapidly than expected from this last injury. I only recently began to play music again which is much less difficult than Gung Fu training of any sort. Lessons are all private and for those who expected otherwise…there is a fee for real Martial Art training and experience. Chinese Boxing, trained and applied correctly is of tremendous benefit to your health and life, regardless of combat, but it is also one of the most effective training methods in preparation for actual fighting: not sport. However, it can be used to train for sporting events like MMA if you train and cross train with that as your focus. I personally continue to train and research other Martial Arts in order to know myself and my enemy. I look forward to hearing from those people who are still interested. Please send me a private message and we will have a conversation. Thank you all.

Wake up and become the Superhero of your own story. Rise from the ashes left by others. Feel the light upon you and shed the ignorance thrust upon you by those who seek to deceive or manipulate you. Clearly define what is important to you in life and go after it NOW, in this moment, as if there will never come another chance to do what matters most. Never settle when you have the ability to light up the universe. If you can not find “IT” then BECOME “IT”. If we conform for others then we lose our magic. For life to have purpose, we simply need to create it...Now. “NOW” is all we will ever have.
“A man should conceive of a legitimate purpose in his heart, and set out to accomplish it.”

As a Man Thinketh

“Anything that comes from these fists is Wing Chun...” A quote from Leung Bik, one of Yip Man’s teachers, meaning no matter what it looked like, it was effective and it WAS Wing Chun. Wing Chun is Gung Fu and all Gung Fu has throws, locks, knees, elbows, kicks, punches, head butts, ground fighting, trapping, weapons, biting and eye gouging... The problem is that most “Kung Fu Sifu” are pretenders who only know the performance art. The performance art is what became known as “Kung Fu” in the west. If you can not fight, you are not doing Gung Fu. Wing Chun was always a fighting art which can look like anything it absorbed as the movements were stripped down to what was most effective. Every pretender who watched those (Y)IP MAN movies, started posing while robbing people of their money and time, deserves the beating they have taken while they stand still, as the real fighter commences to dropping them onto their heads. Every fighter uses a system of training and Wing Chun is no different. In order to grow and improve you have to share while also learning and absorbing from others. But if you are not training to fight, then stop using the word “fighter” and you may stop taking a beating. Otherwise...give me a call...

Screen shots from my video “Full Contact Wing Chun”. Please forgive the blurry images as they are action shots of movement. In 2010, part of my left Tibia and Fibula exploded into near dust during a grappling accident where the full weight of myself and my sparring partner fell onto my leg, which had become stuck in the mat during a roll. Eight months later, and after a very major surgery, I put these shins back onto the bag at full contact. I grew out my Bruce Lee hair😎 and dedicated myself consistently to my regular forty hour a week training sessions with a new sense of purpose, even though I had no fight for which I was preparing, only my love of Gung Fu. Gung Fu and Wing Chun specifically, have the same type of shin kicks as Muay Thai, although most practitioners of the art either, do not understand the use of it, or are too lazy to train it correctly. I sought the guidance of my brothers in Muay Thai to better train and understand the movement, which helped me to improve and recover quickly. Always believe in yourself, never accepting defeat. If you keep an open mind and accept the help of other knowledgeable people, you can reach heights you may not have thought possible.
