Congratulations to Abey McLeod, recipient of the Lori Mobley Groover Leadership Award!
A standout student in Mercer University's Master of Athletic Training program, Abey has distinguished herself through exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and service to the profession. As Vice President of the Athletic Training Club, she helped organize the program's inaugural Athletic Training Month 5K, which became the club's most successful fundraiser to date.
Known for her initiative, strong work ethic, and commitment to professional growth, Abey actively seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge, develop her leadership skills, and serve others. Her dedication in the classroom, clinical settings, and student leadership roles reflects her passion for the athletic training profession and her desire to inspire future generations of athletic trainers.
The Georgia Athletic Trainers’ Association is an organization committed to education of its members and enhancement of the profession of athletic training, leading to better healthcare for the population which it serves. The GATA is proudly composed of licensed athletic trainers in many different settings. Over 1000 licensed athletic trainers from professional, collegiate, and high school teams to industries, physician offices, and rehabilitation clinics all work together to promote and practice the profession of athletic training within the state of Georgia.
