We had a great end to the fall season, earning a runner-up finish in the 12U division in Olney last night! We also brought home the prize for best costumes! Big shout-out to Foryst for creating our first place winning “Dumpling Pumpkin!” It was squish-tastic!
We went 1-1 in pool play, dropping a tough one to the hard hitting Jeeps 12U, 7-10 and bounced back to defeat Fairfield Fury, 6-5. We had a terrific start to bracket play with an offensive explosion beating the Diamond Ducks 16-0 and took down the #1 seed Extreme Flat Rock 12U, 6-5, in a thrilling classic. We ended up taking 2nd place in a loss in the championship to the Jeeps 12U. We were so proud of the girls for competing at a high level all day & for pulling out a couple high intensity, edge of your seat close games. A couple huge stats on the day was our team batting average at. 322 and our on-base percentage at .487. These girls were aggressive at the plate all day & seeing their confidence grow against older competition has to be one of the highlights for our fall season. Our pitching was stellar again with all 3 girls hitting their spots consistently all day. They had multiple strikeouts a piece & in high pressure situations, never lost their composure. These girls work tirelessly & with the bigger ball & further distance to contend with this fall season, they rose to the challenge & have been huge for us!
We saw lots of great things from this group this fall & we can’t wait to come back for a stronger, even more successful spring!
Let’s Go Lady Knights! 💪🏻🥎⚔️
