Classes Cancelled on Monday, 3/16

Out of an abundance of caution for our students and families, classes will be cancelled this evening.

Berkeley County School District has declared early closures of all schools, activities, and offices as a result of unpredictable high winds, tornado warnings, and rain/flood throughout the afternoon and evening.

Little Dragons will be rescheduled for Wednesday, 3/18.

Former U.S. Judo Olympian teaches class in Columbia Hoping to inspire local Judokas, a 2021 U.S Judo Olympian held a workshop in Columbia.

Samurai Slam Venue Change this weekend!

Due to an unforeseen issue at our usual venue, we must move to a new location.

This change brings some benefits and some challenges. The competition will now be on tatami with a sprung floor, and we will not need assistance setting up the venue in the morning! The challenges are that the space is small, so seating will be limited and the mat size will be approximately 6x6 meters with only 1 mat area. Parking will also be tight, so we recommend carpooling where possible or park at the hotel next to the venue location. We know that many were really looking forward to this competition, and we are so thankful for everyone's patience as we adjust to the circumstances. To maximize efficiency, please note the NEW schedule below.

9-10AM Check/Weigh-ins for Juvenile and under
9:30AM Rules Meeting
10AM Opening Ceremony, Juvenile and under Competition Starts
11AM-12PM Check/Weigh-ins for Cadet and above
1PM (approx) Cadet and above Competition Starts
Awards will be given immediately following the end of the division.
