Why I cook a weeks worth of food at once
1. It saves me time throughout the week - having food ready to go is a huge luxury if you’re pressed for time
2. It saves me mental energy - I don’t have to constantly ask myself “what am I going to eat for lunch?”
3. It keeps me consistent - when left to my own devices, I’m all over the place so this make it easy for me to stay on track.
At the end of the day I know that I’m going to gravitate towards what’s convenient.
Knowing this about myself, I want to make nutrient dense foods as readily available as possible.
By having lunches for the week already prepped, I have to intentionally go out of my way to get off track with my nutrition goals, in other words it’s dummy proof
