ππ WORLD. SERIES. CHAMPIONS. ππ
TEAM SOUTHEAST β MALLARD CREEK β HAS DONE IT!!! ππ€π₯
From Charlotte to Kirkland.
From Mallard Creek and CoulOak to the biggest stage in Junior League Softball.
SEVEN GAMES. SEVEN WINS.
ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. π
These girls came to Washington State representing the Southeast Region, our community, their families and everyone back home who believed in them.
And they are coming home as 2026 JUNIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS! πππ₯
What a journey.
They went 4-0 in pool play to earn the No. 1 seed.
They battled back against Canada in the quarterfinals with an unforgettable nine-run fifth inning.
They took down Central (Michigan), 5-2, in the semifinals.
And when there was only one game leftβwith two undefeated 6-0 teams playing for a World Championshipβthese girls found a way ONE. MORE. TIME. πͺπ₯
But the final record only tells part of this story.
Because when you look at the tournament leaderboards, you see just how extraordinary this TEAM was.
π HOW DOMINANT WAS TEAM SOUTHEAST?
π₯ Rhylann Langley finished the World Series #1 in OPS (1.754) AND #1 in slugging (1.059). She hit .588 with 10 hits, 10 RBI, three doubles and a home run.
π₯ Braelene Kirby led the ENTIRE WORLD SERIES with a .778 on-base percentage, while hitting an incredible .636.
π₯ Lynzie Murillo finished #2 in OPS (1.443) and #2 in slugging (.824) with nine hits and a home run.
Think about this one for a second:
π₯ Rhylann Langley β 1.754 OPS
π₯ Lynzie Murillo β 1.443 OPS
π₯ Braelene Kirby β 1.414 OPS
THE TOP THREE OPS PERFORMANCES IN THE ENTIRE JUNIOR LEAGUE WORLD SERIES ALL BELONGED TO TEAM SOUTHEAST. π€―ππ€
π₯ Tiziana Guzman led the World Series with 11 RBI AND four doubles. She also came up huge in the circle when her team needed her during the comeback against Canada.
π₯ Kylie Turner finished tied for third in the tournament with eight RBI and third with 45 putouts, while delivering some enormous hits throughout this runβincluding the game-tying double against Canada.
π₯ Everlee Junker finished tied for third in the World Series with a .684 OBP, contributed big hits throughout the tournament and gave Southeast important innings in the circle.
π₯ And how about Dania Monroe? She just kept getting better as the tournament went onβand saved one of her biggest moments for the biggest game of them all. With Southeast trailing early in the WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP, Dania stepped to the plate on a full count and ripped one of the biggest hits of the entire week, helping fuel the five-run fifth inning that turned a 2-1 deficit into a 6-2 Southeast lead, seizing control on the way to a 6-4 World Championship victory. π₯π₯π Talk about coming through when the lights were brightest.
And then there was the girl who seemingly never wanted to give the softball back. π€π₯
π₯ Addison Lowder.
7 WINS β #1 IN THE WORLD SERIES. π₯
39 STRIKEOUTS β #2. π₯
1.15 ERA β #3. π₯
1.01 WHIP β #4.
She threw a complete-game shutout against Puerto Rico, battled through the biggest games of the tournament and kept answering the call.
Seven Team Southeast games.
Seven Team Southeast victories.
Seven wins credited to Addison.
And because apparently pitching wasnβt enoughβ¦
Addison also finished #1 in the entire World Series with TWO TRIPLES. ππ₯
But thatβs the beauty of this championship.
It wasnβt one player.
It wasnβt one game.
It wasnβt one moment.
It took ALL OF THEM. ππ€
It was Abby Black delivering clutch hitsβincluding during that incredible Canada comeback.
It was Lindley Knutson driving in two in that same nine-run rally.
It was Sawyer Buff doing the little things that win championship softball games.
It was Avah Steffman representing Southeast proudlyβincluding an unforgettable opportunity to sing the National Anthem on the World Series stage πΊπΈβand then delivering the 0-2 RBI single that tied the Championship Game in the fourth inning.
It was girls stepping into the box, making plays, running bases, cheering from the dugout, picking up teammates and being ready when their number was called.
And it was Tiziana, Kylie, Rhylann, Lynzie, Braelene, Everlee, Addison, Dania, Abby, Lindley, Sawyer and Avah - every single girl wearing SOUTHEAST across her chest contributing to something none of them will ever forget.
And behind every championship team is a group of people who poured everything they had into helping these girls get here. ππ€
π A HUGE World Championship shoutout to Head Coach Kyle Turner, Assistant Coaches Scott Lowder and Nicole Murillo, and Team Advocate Jennifer Langley.
From the practices and preparation back home, to Regionals, to seven games on the biggest stage in Kirklandβthis group helped keep the girls prepared, focused, confident and believing in one another every step of the way. They coached them, encouraged them, challenged them and helped create the culture that allowed this team to become something truly special.
There are countless hours, conversations, decisions and sacrifices behind a run like this that nobody ever sees.
Kyle, Scott, Nicole and Jenniferβthank you for everything you poured into these girls and for helping guide Mallard Creek / CoulOak all the way to the top of the softball world. πππ₯
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STAFF.
That has a pretty nice ring to it. ππ
Softball is a game chock full of statistics.
As a result, you see lots of statistics in this post and in most of our posts.
Well, statistics can certainly tell you who led the games or led the tournament.
But they canβt measure heart.
They canβt measure belief.
They canβt measure the teammates screaming from the dugout, the parents, families and fans holding their breath behind the fence, the coaches putting countless hours into these girls, or an entire community back home following every pitch.
And they definitely canβt measure what it feels like when a group of girls from Mallard Creek and CoulOak travel more than 2,000 miles across the country and proves they can play withβand beatβthe best teams in the world. π
7-0.
UNDEFEATED.
JUNIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS. πππ₯
Girls, soak this in.
Years from now, the trophies will collect some dust.
The uniforms wonβt fit anymore.
Some of the details from these games may start to fade.
But nobody can ever take these words away from you:
WORLD SERIES CHAMPION. π
Mallard Creek and Coul Oak could not possibly be prouder of you. ππ€β€οΈπ€ππ€
