Rising Sophomores, Alesia and Janya are continuing to impress beyond the track. They are both the JCSU Track and Field Student Athletes Advisory Reps with huge responsibilities going forward. They are now the President(Janya) and Vice- President(Alesia) of the JCSU SAAC! Janya is also the football rep for the CIAA Football championship and the Chair of the CIAA SAAC Social Media Committee.
Alesia will be the rep for CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships and also help chair the CIAA SAAC social media committee!
Did we mention that they are both brilliant students?

Rising sophomore, Paris Brown, a Public Health major, was awarded a 6 weeks internship to Texas Southern University! Only Freshman out of 100 students selected around the country! Two claps and a Bull for Paris!!

The future doctor Amontae Wray, captain of the Men’s track team, was awarded a summer internship at Atrium Hospital where he shadowed surgeons from different disciplines and saw what life was really about as a doctor. That was the additional fluid he needed for his fire! We are so proud of him. 2 claps and a bull for Dr. Wray as he enters his senior year!!

Second place at CIAA for the guys with some memorable performances. First time in ages that we’ve had pole vaulters and they finished 2nd, 5th, 7th. These guys held a pole for the first time in January and improved so fast.
The triple jumpers had a clean sweep led by a freshman. Freshman 400m hurdler won the conference and earned a trip to the NCAA championship.
The ladies defended their indoor 4x4 title with an outdoor win. Freshman won the 400m hurdles.
