And just like that, baby girl is one month old! 💪🏼🌹
- Rosie Daly -
⭐️ 9 pounds, 1.5 ounces
⭐️ number one cuddler
⭐️ professional snoozer
⭐️ dinosaur noise maker
And we just love her so much! ♥️
What’s up with mom’s health/fitness/nutrition?
I’m still focused on resting and recovering from Rosie’s birth, taking easy walks when it feels good.
I’m eating everything. My priority is on ensuring a good milk supply and lots of nutrients for baby girl. This includes pasta, bread, and pie but I promise I’m eating my veggies too. 🍝🍞🥧😂🥦
I’m doing some connection breath exercises to work on my pelvic floor health along with gentle stretching when I feel like it. And will wait until my six week check up before adding in anything more! Even then, focus will be on gradually rebuilding and restoring for long-term health. 🙏🏼
For the most part, I’m just enjoying and learning about this new stage of life! 👨👩👧

The most incredible lesson in trusting, honoring, nourishing, and respecting the human body.🤰🏼
Pregnancy taught me to slow down, to listen, to be present, to trust.
To my mamas - what did you love and learn from your pregnancy? ⤵️

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my fitness routine over the course of my pregnancy, so sharing a bit more about it below! ⤵️
GOALS - working out during pregnancy to:
▪️support baby’s health & development
▪️support my body’s ability to do the WORK during labor
▪️maintain strength to support the extra physical load of carrying a baby
▪️feel good mentally
MINDSET -
▪️Always weighing risk v. reward when it comes to movement & exercise selection ▪️Example 1 - sure I CAN lift that heavy weight, but is it best for me & baby during this time?
▪️Example 2- sure I could keep running, jumping, etc. but I’d rather reduce high impact movements and protect my pelvic floor for postpartum recovery
So what did I do?
▪️Hit the main strength movements: squat, deadlift, bench, press, and rows in programmed, progressive cycles
▪️Included unilateral (single arm and leg) variations
▪️Stayed in the 8-12 rep range with rest in between movements
▪️Focused on my breathing patterns {exhaling on the exertion portion of any given movement}
▪️Monitored my effort level by always making sure my breathing was stable and controlled
▪️Removed all core work that would put extra pressure on my “abs” and focused on the transverse (sides) instead
▪️Did “cardio” that felt good
▪️Started with rowing, running, biking, and dumbbell circuits ➡️ gradually transitioned to stationary biking, swimming, and walking ➡️ and now just swimming and walking
▪️Kept up with plenty of restorative yoga and daily stretching essentials from
I have honestly felt great during this pregnancy and I know that staying active and strong has made this possible. Always listening to my body and balancing work with rest has been key. ♥️
I also know that being physically fit BEFORE I got pregnant played a massive role in how good I’ve felt throughout. 💪🏼
I hope some of this info helps! If you didn’t know, I am a certified Pre- & Postnatal Coach, so let me know if you have any questions below! ⤵️

I will be baking a pie this weekend in honor of the belated holiday 🥳
and ps - I often get asked where to get a REAL homemade pie nowadays and the answer is absolutely
