NLE Wrestling continues to show what hard work can accomplish by bringing home some impressive hardware this weekend.

One wrestler captured a Freestyle State Championship while bumping up a weight class and wrestled bigger and better competition. He dominated the tournament, earning technical falls (10 point victories) over his opponents.

Another wrestler put together an equally impressive performance, winning both the Greco-Roman and Freestyle State Championships. He earned technical falls (10 point victories) over every opponent in both styles, leaving no doubt who the best wrestler on the mat was.

The goal going into the state tournament this weekend was to dominate.

Mission accomplished.

Don’t Train To Win, Train To Dominate.

This weekend was an uplifting one for NLE Wrestling.

We took 5 wrestlers down to the tough Southeast Regional Tournament in Georgia to compete in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman.

We had one wrestler place 4th in Freestyle and another place 4th in Greco-Roman, which qualified both of them for the National Tournament in July. That’s a huge accomplishment. But honestly, I’m just as proud of all the growth I’m seeing from all 5 wrestlers.

The future is bright for NLE Wrestling.

NLE Wrestling took 5 wrestlers to the SC National Dual Qualifier and every single one of them showed up ready to compete.

We had:

* 1 Freestyle Champion punching his ticket to the National Dual Team

* 1 Double Champion (Freestyle & Greco) earning a spot on both National Teams

We’re so proud of these accomplishments and the opportunity these athletes have earned.

But let’s be clear, this isn’t the standard.

We came with 5 and our expectation was 5 champions.

That’s the mindset

No excuses

This is just the beginning for NLE Wrestling.
We’re getting back to work, sharpening everything, and coming back for more.

Next time we finish the job!

For now, congrats NLE Wrestlers on a good showing

Technique → Repetition → Ex*****on.

This is how wrestlers improve.

First we break down the technique.
Then we drill it until it becomes second nature.
Then we see it show up in competition.

That’s the process at NLE Wrestling.

Don’t train to win.
Train to DOMINATE.
