Dear friends & community. We are not currently practicing Aikido, as it typically involves close contact with others and occasionally vigorous movement -- both factors that can facilitate the spread of covid-19.

We don't know when we will return to practice, and unfortunately this has been complicated further because SSJ Judo, where we have trained for the last 5 years, has given up their lease (also due to covid.)

We have considered doing some outdoors weapons training, but as of yet have not made this happen, and the days are now getting shorter and cooler.

Recently a number of people have contacted us expressing interest in Aikido practice. We would love to share Aikido with you and train with you. However at the moment we don't know when we will return to Aikido practice. We will update this page when the situation improves.

Charlottesville Musibi Aikido has resumed regular training at our new location! Our classes are Sundays 1-2:30pm, and Thursdays 7-8:30pm at 900 A Harris Street in Charlottesville. Visitors and new students are welcome.

There will be no class on Thursday January 5, due to too many people being out of town. Regular classes resume Sunday January 8, 1:30-3pm. See you then!

Announcement: You are invited to attend a special class Sunday December 18 at 1:30-3:00 led by guest instructor Jim Baker. Sensei Jim comes from Aikido of Norfolk. Even if it's been a while since you've been with us on the mat, please come and join us! There is no fee for the class.
