The hunt was on at SeaDevil Diver Day!

Our buddy teams took on an underwater scavenger hunt at Lake Phoenix, searching the lake for answers to a series of suitably cryptic questions. Between the hidden clues and the mysterious residents of Lake Phoenix, our divers had plenty to investigate!

The prizes? Trophies of unspeakable value. Obviously.

A huge thank-you to Tammy for all the time and creativity she put into organizing the hunt and making the day so much fun!

The ancient craft has returned! This weekend at SeaDevil Diver Day, a brave group of divers descended into Lake Phoenix to practice the ancient and noble art of Underwater Basket Weaving. Armed with reeds, regulators, and questionable judgment, they battled buoyancy, task loading, and the occasional escaping basket strand.

Against all odds, many returned to the surface with impressive creations. Others returned with what experts are calling “artistic interpretations.”

All participants earned their official Certificates of Dubious Merit and can now proudly claim to be Weavers of the Deep.

We were fortunate to have Elias Patrick as our guest speaker, sharing the experiences that first sparked his interest in technical diving and the journey that led him deeper into the world of advanced training. From the challenges and rewards of technical dive education to the unique opportunities it opens beneath the surface, Elias provided an engaging look at a side of diving many recreational divers are curious about.
