One exercise doesn’t have to look exactly the same for every person.

Sometimes a small modification makes a movement more accessible. Sometimes a variation adds an entirely new challenge. And sometimes the version that makes the most sense for you today will look different six months from now as you get stronger.

That’s part of what good training is all about — meeting your body where it is and knowing how to adjust the movement without losing the intention behind it.

Want to learn which variations make the most sense for you? Train 1-on-1 with Katie and get personalized coaching based on your body, experience, and goals. Click the link in our bio to schedule your free consultation.

If Katie had to pick five exercises for a strong, well-rounded workout, these would make the list. 👏🏼💪🏻

Each one brings something a little different to the table — lower body strength, core stability, upper body strength, balance, mobility, and plenty of ways to modify or progress depending on where you are.

And that’s one of our favorite things about strength training: the basics can take you a LONG way. You don’t need complicated movements to challenge your body or build strength. Sometimes it’s about choosing movements that give you a lot of return and learning how to do them really well.

👉🏼Want to take it a step further? Train 1-on-1 with Katie and learn how to put movements like these together in a way that works for your body, your goals, and your starting point. Click the link in our bio to schedule your free consultation.

A little behind the scenes of something we’re VERY excited to share. 🤩🎬🏋🏻‍♀️📸

Recently, Katie Sweet stepped on set with HealthScope Magazine for an upcoming fitness feature focused on women’s health, strength, and movement — and we couldn’t be more proud of her.

If you know Katie, you know how much intention she brings to coaching. She believes strength should support your life — helping you move better, feel more capable, build confidence in your body, and keep doing the things you love through every season of life.

And that’s exactly the kind of message we want more women to hear.

We’re so proud of you, Katie, and so excited to see you representing OTHISI and sharing your expertise with our Chattanooga community! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Keep an eye out for the upcoming Fall issue of HealthScope Magazine — we can’t wait for you to see the full feature!

Coming up at the end of September, OTHISI trainer Katie Sweet will be hosting a Kettlebell Turkish Get-Up Workshop designed to break the movement down, piece by piece.

The Turkish get-up is one of those exercises that can look complicated at first, but there’s a reason it’s such a valuable movement to learn. It challenges strength, stability, mobility, coordination, and control - all while requiring your entire body to work together. 💪🏼🔥

And this workshop isn’t only for beginners.

👉🏼 Never done a Turkish get-up? Come learn the foundations and proper technique with hands-on coaching.

👉🏼 Already have experience with them? Come fine-tune your form, work through sticking points, and learn ways to progress the movement and get even MORE out of it.

No guessing your way through it. No trying to piece it together from a 30-second video. Just dedicated time to learn the movement, understand the WHY behind it, and practice it with a professional coach there to help.

There’s a big difference between having access to information and knowing how to apply it.

We have more fitness information at our fingertips than ever before. Workouts, exercises, nutrition tips, mobility routines, training plans… you could spend hours consuming it all.

And yet, more information doesn’t always create better results.

Sometimes it just creates more decisions.

Should I lift heavier?
Do more reps?
Add more cardio?
Change my program?
Am I progressing fast enough?
Is this exercise even right for me?

Good coaching removes that noise.

It gives you a plan built around your body, your goals, your abilities, and your life — and someone who knows when to push, when to adjust, and when staying the course is exactly what you need.

That’s the value of expertise.

Not because you couldn’t figure everything out yourself, but because your time and your health are valuable enough that you shouldn’t have to.

At OTHISI, we don’t just want you working hard. We want to make sure your hard work is actually moving you somewhere.

Less guessing. More intention. Better training.

You can find thousands of workouts online for free. You can watch tutorials, follow influencers, save routines, and learn how to perform almost any exercise.

But knowing what exercises exist isn’t the same as knowing what you should be doing, why you’re doing it, how hard you should be working, when something needs to change, or what should come next.

That’s where coaching changes things.

A great personal trainer isn’t there simply to hand you a workout and count your reps. They’re there to take all of the variables — your goals, strength, mobility, experience, injuries, schedule, recovery, progress — and turn them into an actual strategy.

And maybe most importantly, they take away the guesswork.

We hire experts for the things that matter because expertise saves us time, helps us avoid costly mistakes, and gives us a clearer path forward.

Your health deserves that same investment.

You don’t need to become an expert in exercise science.

You need someone who already is. 💪🏻🔥

At OTHISI, that’s what coaching is about: clarity in what you’re doing, clarity in why you’re doing it, and clarity in what comes next.

Ready to stop guessing? Send us a DM or schedule your free No Sweat Intro through the link in our bio.

While movement is ALWAYS a good thing, the way you train determines the results you get.

If your goal is to build strength that helps you feel better in everyday life, carry your kids or grandkids with ease, prevent injuries, improve balance, age well, and stay independent, your workouts should be designed with that outcome in mind.

Strength training is about following a structured plan that progressively challenges your body while also prioritizing mobility, cardiovascular health, flexibility, and recovery.

That’s exactly why every program at OTHISI is personalized to the individual standing in front of us. Whether you’re brand new to strength training, returning after an injury, preparing for surgery, or simply wanting to feel stronger than you did last year, there’s a plan that fits your goals.

Fitness isn’t about proving what you can do today. It’s about building a body that lets you keep doing the things you love for years to come.

Every few years, the fitness industry gets a new “miracle.”

A new workout.
A new challenge.
A new piece of equipment.
A new supplement.
A new program that promises you’ll get there faster.

And every time, people chase it. The funny thing is… if you look back over the last 20 years, most of those trends have come and gone.

What hasn’t changed?

✔️ Showing up consistently.
✔️ Progressively challenging your body.
✔️ Prioritizing recovery.
✔️ Eating well most of the time.
✔️ Repeating those habits week after week.

At OTHISI, we aren’t interested in selling the latest fitness fad. We’re focused on teaching the fundamentals that still work today and will still work 10 years from now.

People who see the biggest transformations usually aren’t the ones who find the “perfect” program… They’re the ones who stick with a good one.

If you’re looking for coaching that focuses on sustainable progress instead of quick fixes, we’d love to help. Book your free No Sweat Intro through the link in our bio or send us a DM to learn more.
