The second and final day of the flag football state tournament started out with a very tough quarterfinal game. Silverdale won the game with sheer athleticism and grit. The second game was equally challenging against a team they had beaten the day before, but they ultimately lost by just one run in that semi-final game. This team had a very impressive second season and we can't wait to see what they will do next year!

Our varsity baseball team made it all the way to the Elite 8 in the state tournament, falling to Grace Christian in the quarterfinals. They played a doubleheader in Franklin, losing the first game by just a single run. The second loss meant an end to their season, but they held their heads high knowing they had played their best this season and had "come to the field with value, not for value." We are so proud of this team! Thank you, Coach Rorex and the Seahawks, for showing great character, playing some great baseball, and giving your fans a lot to cheer about!

Our girls flag football team had a great day on the first day of the state tournament on Thursday, winning all three of their games and earning the number 1 spot for their pool in the quarterfinals the next morning. It was an exhausting day but also a thrilling one, with strong performances by the offense and the defense including some lightning fast tackles and exciting touchdowns, even against some tough competition.
Thanks to our large contingent of fans who came out to support the team even on an unseasonably cold night in Murfreesboro on Thursday. And thanks to Mrs. Hansard for making the trip to cheer on the team! This team will be back next year, stronger than ever!
