The beauty of creation has been blooming and blazing all around us this week! Our students learned about the eclipse, while practicing safety measures so as not to damage our eyes, talked about light and darkness, and some classes even created their own eclipses! What a fun way to engage in God’s wonderful world!

This week has been a rainy one, and when you spend as much time outside as we do, that really puts a damper on the fun… or does it!? Yesterday, some of our staff teamed up and were able to bring fun outdoor games INDOORS! Our kiddos are enjoying outdoor recreation in our awesome multipurpose playrooms throughout the campus, keeping the rainy day blues at bay.

It’s hard to believe that the end of the year is rapidly approaching. It has been so wonderful to hear the PreK 3-5 classes practicing their program for May 15th. Their songs are coming along! Jennifer and I have been singing “Big House” on repeat for a little over a month now, with no end in sight!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 28th and join us for our Come Sit With Me Sunday service! We will have a special worship service lead by our Lighthouse Kids Choir and a fun family fellowship directly after the service. Small groups at 9:45, morning service at 10:45, childcare provided if desired! Join us!

Our Pour Over Preschool need for the month of April is Lysol! We keep a sparkly clean preschool and that requires lots of cleaning supplies! Most used are Lysol wipes, Lysol disinfecting spray, and hand sanitizer. Please place donations in our green donation tub at the fellowship hall entrance or if shipping is more convenient, please have them sent to:

Donations - Because we are a private preschool, we receive zero funding from state or federal grants or agencies. Our budget is entirely comprised of tuition payments and donations. There are four ways you can partner with White Oak Baptist Recreational Preschool: prayer, advocacy, volunteering, and financial partnerships. Our prayer partners remember our program in prayer, daily lifting up our teachers, students, and leadership team to Jesus. When you become a partner in advocacy, you help spread the word about the wonderful program at White Oak Baptist Recreational Preschool. Volunteers are available for substituting, helping teachers during class parties and events, or during campus renovation projects. Funding raised through the generous gifts of our financial partners make such renovations and events possible. Financial gifts can be made monthly, by semester, or as one-time donations. Lighthouse Kids Choir
Our Lighthouse Kids Choir will be leading worship on Sunday April 28th for our Come Sit With Me service! Please plan on practicing on Wednesdays during the month of April to prepare. We can’t wait to watch what God will do during this special time of fellowship!
Lighthouse Kids Choir is open to students ages 4-12 and we practice on Wednesday afternoons from 5:15-6:00, followed by our Wednesday evening service including Kids on the Rock. If you are interested in joining us for Lighthouse Kids Choir, please reach out to Lindsey Howell or Jennifer Cathell.

Reminder: Registration for our summer program closes May 1!

The eclipse will not impact our hours of operation and we are taking every necessary precaution to protect the students’ eyes during the event. We will not be providing eclipse glasses for students.

This is also in keeping with Hamilton county school schedule, which is our standard for unscheduled closures. Please let us know if you have any questions!

We have sprung into Spring!!! We celebrated Dr Seuss this March and most importantly Easter!! From crafts to games to outside play and riding toy room time, these kids have been busy bees!!! They even tried green eggs and ham!!
