The McCallie School rowing team wrapped up a strong showing at the 2026 SRAA National Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, highlighted by the Freshman Eight crew earning the first freshman rowing medal in program history with a bronze-medal finish. After advancing through a highly competitive field, the young Blue Tornado crew secured third place in the Grand Final with a dramatic late sprint, finishing just ahead of Montclair High School. McCallie’s Heavyweight Four also delivered an impressive performance, overcoming a seat malfunction during the semifinals that narrowly kept them out of the Grand Final before responding with a dominant victory in the Petite Final to secure seventh place nationally. McCallie additionally qualified a Varsity Quad and Junior Eight for nationals, continuing the program’s rise as one of the country’s premier scholastic rowing teams. Head Coach Sean McCourt praised the team’s resilience, brotherhood, and commitment, noting that the program has now reached SRAA grand finals for five consecutive years while continuing to build a nationally competitive legacy.

McCallie wins ANOTHER State Championship!🏆 McCallie Soccer takes down Briarcrest (3-1) to take home the TSSAA DII-AA Title! Finn Arnold was named MVP!

It’s Championship Day! McCallie will face Briarcrest tonight in the State Championship! The match will start at 7:30 EST at Siegel Soccer Complex!

McCallie Soccer takes down CBHS in PKs (5-4) in the state semifinals to advance to the State Championship! The title game will take place tomorrow night at 7:30 EST!

McCallie Track & Field is competing in the State Meet today! This will be held at the University of Tennessee starting at 9:00 am ET (field events), 4:00 pm ET (running events)!

McCallie Soccer is facing CBHS in the semifinals today! The match will start at 3pm EST! GBB!

McCallie alum Sam Powe ’22 has been named the 2025-26 Brad Davis Community Service Leader of the Year for the SEC while swimming at Georgia.

During his time at McCallie, Powe captured 11 state championships, including relay titles, before continuing his academic and athletic career at UGA. Congratulations to Sam on this incredible honor and for continuing to represent McCallie at the highest level.
