Hello everyone! We’ve decided NO classes today.. 1/26/26….it’s cold ❄️… it’s icy… stay home.. stay warm. 😊

Hello Massari-Wood dancers and families!! No snow… just icy roads and driveways !! This is just a short note to let you know that we are waiting til tomorrow (1/26) to decide on classes. Please check back with us here after 12:00 tomorrow afternoon … and we will let you know.. stay WARM!! 😊❤️❤️

NUTCRACKER STORY: THE END

And then.... all was quiet. The Kingdom of sweets waited for their beautiful Queen to appear. Suddenly there she was ... the Sugar Plum Fairy with her dashing Cavalier. She smiled as they moved to the center. And they danced and danced, the MOST beautiful dances you can imagine. Then the Sugar Plum and Cavalier invited all of the sweets to join them one final time to honor Clara...

and as quickly as it began ..it was over. Drosselmeyer brought out Claras sled...which now looked remarkably like her bed at home.Clara climbed in ....waved goodbye.... yawned and fell fast asleep.When she woke up in the morning she remembered the party the night before, the children, the puppet show.. the amazing mechanical dolls and her wonderful present...an ancient nutcracker....she stretched ... and stood up. Something fell out of her lap..something sparkly and very familiar. As she lifted it up for a better look... everything came back to her in an instant. A wonderful land where everything is made of candy.... A wand given to her by a beautiful Fairy Queen. And Clara knew she would never forget.

NUTCRACKER STORY CHAPTER 17

Mother Ginger is a gigantic gingerbread cupcake. Her skirts are big enough to hide all of her children, the gingersnaps, underneath. What a wonderful, happy family!! They ALWAYS make me smile. They popped out to say hello to Clara and the Prince.

Did you know there is a special garden in the Land of Sweets? It is full of the pretty frosting flowers that you find on wedding and birthday cakes. It is cared for by the Dew Drop Fairy who brought a beautiful bouquet of those flowers to surround Clara with love and dance with her.

NUTCRACKER STORY CHAPTERS 15 & 16

The Civic Ballet of Chattanooga and students of Massari~ Wood Dance Center present their 42nd annual production: THE NUTCRACKER
Remember when I told you that everyone in the Kingdom was made of candy? Well ... to honor Clara.... all of the sweets danced for her. First there was Hot Chocolate from Spain. Then sweet Chinese tea... the two princesses brought their entire court and their pet Dragon LuLu! Next... three delightful BonBons from Italy.

And the dances continued!

From Arabia... a beautiful Taffy Princess and Prince with her court. Then Spicy Cinnamon from France!
There was Marzipan from Russia and Sweet Sugar Sticks from England.

NUTCRACKER STORY CHAPTER 13

The Civic Ballet of Chattanooga and students of Massari~ Wood Dance Center present their 42nd annual production: THE NUTCRACKER

In Claras' village, it was customary decorate the tree with Angels made of sugar. At the very top of the tree was Claras favorite.... a Seraph... very special with beautiful long wings. The Seraph was in charge of ALL of the Angels on the tree. At the end of the battle... she floated down and gathered them all together. "It's time at LAST" they all said.
The ARCH ANGELS hold the keys to the Gate of the Kingdom of Sweets..They opened the gates and ALL of the Angels were there to greet Clara and the returning Nutcracker Prince.
The little golden Angels and the silver Cherubs were SO excited!!

They called the Queen of the Kingdom... the Sugar Plum Fairy. Two little Angels whispered in her ear... "They are COMING!!"

CHAPTER 14

Imagine a magical kingdom where everyone is made of candy! The Nutcracker Prince is finally home. The Sugar Plum Fairy has called all of her subjects together to greet him and the fearless girl who saved him.

Through the gates they came......accompanied by Drosselmeyer and all of the Angels. Our Prince has come home smiled the lovely Sugar Plum who gave him a kiss on each cheek... and Clara!! At last we meet! The Sugar Plum and her handsome Cavalier walked Clara and the Prince down a path filled with subjects of the realm... each and every one anxious to meet them. Look everyone she says...This is Clara!! Isn't she brave? Please... will you tell us your story? And so they did... leaving nothing out... the Prince and Clara described the Battle with the Mice and the Soldiers and the end of the Mouse King. HOORAY everyone shouted!! Isn't Clara wonderful!? And with that... the Sugar Plum declared Clara Queen for the day. She placed Clara upon the Throne of Delights (made entirely of sugar) with the Prince beside her. Pages brought her a beautiful crown to wear and the Sugar Plums' very own magic wand! Let us begin the CELEBRATION said the Sugar Plum.. and everyone in the Kingdom joined in.
