Another medal Monday for the Baseline Multisport Fam! On opposite coasts putting in the final races of 2022 for our athletes at Ironman Indian Wells 70.3 and Treasure Coast International distance Tri.

Both Jeanette Richards and Holly Osborn setting PR’s.
•Holly one of our newer fam members put in an impressive day at Indian Wells and continues to make excellent gains with consistent training.
•Jeanette one of the original athletes that started with Baseline continues to set the bar higher and higher. She not only continues to push beyond her comfort zones as an athlete but is a tremendous support for all.

Now we all recover, refocus and make headway on successful strategy to set ourselves up for the upcoming season.

What are your plans for 2023 and how can we help you reach those goals and more?

Baseline in Action!!!

Casey Newick starting off the weekend in Crystal River after having the swim cancelled for the previous race of the this series jumped in last minute and had a day! Despite having to hustle back to get her number for the run after exiting transition still out down a strong effort which put her 1st in her AG.

Newer Baseline member still making her recovery off an ankle injury Sarah Zumbrum completed the swim at IM North Carolina 70.3 and continues to make strides(literally short run this morning) on the continued road to recovery.

• April Branam on her month long tour of family visits squeezed in a 5k on Myrtle beach and had a solid effort not quite the pr she was shooting for but smiles for miles which landed her 1st in her AG as well.

Last but certainly not least racing basically in her backyard Kam Holmquist tackled Waco 70.3 this weekend. Excellent swim, consistently strong on the bike despite conditions and put together one of her best paced runs to date coming off the bike.
Certainly more than proud of all the athletes and their efforts. Kudos to those who are also out there pushing the limits and continuing to train for some late seasons races as well as those gearing toward next seasons goals and improvements.

Wow what a weekend so is a must!

Rose Marie crushed it at Toughman in Stony Point,NY placing 4th in her AG in the aquabike division punching her ticket to World’s in Spain!

While Coach Collin traveled to Tennessee to Sherpa and Coach and take on Ironman Chattanooga. Conditions were rough but they have it all they had.

Katherine in her first attempt at the distance executed like a pro with a killer first timer in the rain & wind through a hilly bike n run for a finish time of 14:18:35.

April taking on Chatt as her second ironman just one year after ironman Maryland. Crushed the swim which is a huge victory, grinded through the bike and gave it all she had on the run. It was a tough day in the office but so many excellent take aways that she’ll be able to translate into a killer sprint distance season to come as she retires for long course.

Huge congrats to our fam and team members who also had an incredible weekend both in Chatt and at Augusta 70.3.
BIG THANK YOU TO Jeanette Richards and Jan Stover for their hospitality and cheer support too!

An exhausting but incredible weekend to track NY and run through the course taking care of the baseline ladies just one week after finishing Ironman Maryland for Coach Collin but that’s a wrap and could not be more proud. Now time to hurricane prep 🙏🏻

Stay tuned for more coverage of this weekends events and some big announcements to come 😊

How did you spend your Labor Day…

We spent the day with fun in the sun, friends, family, food and future plans. Discussing how we were going to spend our time in Maryland/DC before and after Ironman Maryland. Figuring out potential travel plans for the upcoming year as well as races next season.

As a family we love figuring out not just our next destination but our future goals and what we plan to reach for in the coming year. It’s important to instill this drive in kids early, showing them no matter how old you get there’s always room for growth, goals and dreams. But also as athletes it’s important to include your support crew in what you might want to tackle next. Braelynn will always be “Coach” and Gracie “Head Cheerleader” and well Suzie keeps the whole world turning.

What better way to spend Labor Day then celebrating the work you have put in and game planning for the labor ahead and work ahead😎.

COMMUNICATION IS KEY…

Literally one of the first things Coach Collin mentions when talking to new athletes is how vital communication is. It sets clear understanding of the training, effective breakdown of the results and concise goal setting for future workouts and racing to come. As a coach it’s important for the athletes to feel supported and know we are in their corner. Only through this consistent communication are we able to tailor the training to fit each individuals goals but also their day to day life. As always instilled in our athletes “Triathlon is meant to enhance your life not to add more negative stress.”

Coach Collin’s communication “dad joke”…
-whether it’s call, text, email, TrainingPeaks comment, telegram or smoke signal you can reach me at all times except when swimming… I just haven’t figured out how to answer then.

Whether through daily and weekly virtual communication, on the go, or in person or group sessions baseline is here so don’t hesitate to reach out. Open 22/7(2hr swims 🤣).

Rest day after a mentally and physically intense training weekend often has us in our thoughts. Reviewing over past races, training, work, and what lies ahead. As the race rises in the horizon we ponder if we’ve carefully built the perfect balance of training and recovery to yield the result we desire. Trust the process, embrace what the race brings and leave all out there. As the sun sets and the race comes to an end, whether it was a PR or not, the sun will rise again.

Let us help you navigate that balance, be confident in the process and achieve what you set out to do.
