We're excited to welcome Spain's National Football Team, Selección Española de Fútbol (SeFutbol) to Chattanooga!
Today’s announcement is a big one—for tourism, for sports, and for Chattanooga as a whole.
Chattanooga has officially been selected as the Team Base Camp for Spain’s National Football Team this summer, welcoming the No. 1 ranked team in the world to our community.
This moment didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of years of collaboration across our city and county—investments in facilities, a strong soccer culture, and a hospitality community that consistently shows up. Last year alone, Hamilton County welcomed more than 11 million visitors, generating $1.8 billion in economic impact, supporting over 30,000 local jobs, and saving every household an average of $1,232 in taxes. That shared work is what makes moments like this possible.
Spain’s decision affirms what we already know to be true: Chattanooga offers world-class infrastructure, accessibility, natural beauty, and—most importantly—people who make visitors feel genuinely welcome. When tourism works well, it introduces the world to who we really are and delivers benefits that last long after the headlines fade.
We’re proud to help host this global moment and excited to show what Chattanooga looks like when we’re at our best.
