The Tour de France is in full effect, and nothing motivates a good road ride more than watching a good tour stage! We have some pretty sweet road bike offerings here at the shop to get you rolling. Pictured are the Felt FR, Specialized Tarmac SL8, and the Felt AR. You may not get the chance hold the wheel of Tadej Pogacar in the French countryside, but one of these bikes will keep you in competition with the local group rides in Chattanooga for sure. Come test ride your next road bike today!

Mechanics Corner - a question mechanics have to answer all the time is: “how often should I service my bike?” Bicycles don’t have check engine lights or specific service intervals that come with vehicles and motorcycles. But it’s really not as complicated as you might think.
Keeping your bike clean is a big one. Spraying off your bike after wet or dirty rides will help to keep dirt out of pivot points and bearings, and spending time with a rag and some cleaning spray, such as Muc-Off bike wash, getting into tight spots will help you catch small problems before they become bigger. Look for cracks, worn spots, or chipping paint. Change grips and bar tape every few months.
With suspension components such as forks, shocks, and pivot bearings there’s a lot of factors that come into play such as riding style, riding conditions, and rider weight. So it’s a good idea to have your bike inspected by a qualified service department after every 50 hours of riding or at least yearly.
Pay attention to noises and unusual movement. If you’re hearing a grinding, knocking, or a creaking noise; or there’s play or sticking in pivot points where there wasn’t before, have your bike looked at.
Preventative and regular maintenance may cost a little from time to time, but can save you from much bigger expenses in the long run and potentially save you from from being stranded on the trail side or in the middle of a long ride.
We will happily inspect bikes here at the shop for issues, suggested maintenance, and will give a free estimate for any work that may need to be done so you can get back out and riding as soon as possible.

This is an initiative we can get behind! More trails equal more riding!
🚵 Big things are happening at McDonald Farm — and we need our mountain bike community to speak up.
Roughly 1,300 acres of McDonald Farm are becoming Tennessee's 70th state park, connecting Sale Creek all the way to the Cumberland Trail. That's a 2,500-acre opportunity sitting right in our backyard — and planning is happening RIGHT NOW.
SORBA Chattanooga is advocating for mountain bike trails to be part of this park's future, and the state wants to hear from the community while the master plan is still being shaped. This is the moment to speak up.
Two ways to make your voice heard:
🗣️ Open House — TONIGHT, July 16 | 5-7pm | Harvest Barn at McDonald Farm, 16705 Coulterville Rd. Come talk trails in person!
📝 Online Survey — Can't make it tonight? Tell the state what you want to see at the park: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TSP70PublicLink (link in bio)
Every voice counts. If you want singletrack at Tennessee's newest state park, this is how we make that happen.
