SHHS Mountain Bike Team

We had a great first race at Chickasaw Trace Park today! We had 16 racers and 3 podiumed. Freshman Noah Seeley took 1st in the boys JV2 race, freshman Aubrey Balint took 3rd in the girls JV3 race, and Jacob Gibson took 4th in the boys 8th grade race. We had several other top 10 finishers too! All of our racers did great.

This is the last week to register your rider for the 2026 mountain bike season.

We are hosting a Girls Riding Together (GRiT) ride at Winged Deer Park on 6/13. This is open to female riders that will be in 5th -12th grade for the 2026-27 school year and women who may be interested in volunteering as a coach with the SHHS or NETCT teams.

When: This Saturday, May 16, from 10-12 a.m.
Where: The Disc Golf Parking Lot at Winged Deer
Who: Any rising 5th - 12th grader in the region who loves to ride!

Bring a parent, sign a waiver, and meet our coaches and some team members, work on some skills and go for a little ride. Find out all about our teams and how to get involved!

Let's hear it for Science Hill junior Allie O'Neal, who scored a perfect 36 on her ACT exam! 👏🎉

Allie said many of her classes helped prepare her for the test, but she's partial to STEM subjects, and her favorite classes have been Precalculus and Calculus with Mr. Wondergem.

Thank you Dr. Welch and Dr. Johnston for teaching our NICA First Aid and CPR course! We had 17 coaches participate in the training in preparation for our 2026 season.
