Weekends at Broken Arrow Ranch are for fencing, projects, and always finding something else to improve! 🔨🐴

This weekend, we finished pulling the fence near the indoor arena and tackled some work on the parking area to get ready for winter lessons.

Next up is hauling in gravel, and we’ll be ready for whatever the winter weather brings! ❄️

One thing we’re especially thankful for is being in an area (and having the equipment!) that allows us to stay ahead of the mud/snow and keep our parking areas in good shape. We know winter in the PNW can bring its fair share of challenges, and having a functional, quality facility is important to us — both for our boarders and the folks coming in for lessons.

There’s always something on the project list around here, but we love continuing to make improvements and getting things ready for the seasons ahead! ❤️

A little peek into a day at Broken Arrow Ranch. 🤎🐴

We get asked a lot about the ranch, what goes on behind the scenes, and all the little things that keep this place running. So, we thought it would be fun to start sharing a little more of our everyday life here!

The reality is that running a boarding facility is a whole lot more than feeding horses and cleaning stalls. There’s always a project in the works, something to fix, something to improve, or a new idea Dan and I have decided we need to tackle. 😂 And somewhere in between all of that, we get to spend our days surrounded by horses and some pretty amazing people.

We started Broken Arrow Ranch with the intention of keeping things small, quiet, and simple. While it’s grown more than we ever anticipated, that same goal still drives us. We want this to be a place where people feel at home, horses are cared for, and everyone can just enjoy being at the barn.

So, welcome to the first of our Day in the Life at Broken Arrow Ranch series! We’ll share a little more of what goes into running this place, the projects, the everyday routines, and probably a little of the chaos along the way.

Thanks for being part of our little corner of the horse world. We’re glad you’re here! 🤎🌾

😂🚿 WELL, YOU ASKED… AND DAN DELIVERED! 🚿😂

Due to popular demand, we are officially releasing the long-awaited sprinkler system debut video! 🤣👏

Dan put a whole lot of work into bringing our second arena sprinkler system to life, and apparently, the people needed to see the finished product. Who are we to deny the public what they want?! 😂

Please enjoy this cinematic masterpiece, brought to you by Dan’s hard work, a little ranch ingenuity, and a sprinkler system that’s apparently become a bigger attraction than the horses. 🤠💦

Dan, your fans are waiting for your next production. 🎬🤣

💦 Another improvement for our riders at Broken Arrow Ranch! 🌾

Our north outdoor arena now has its own sprinkler system, bringing us to TWO sprinkler-equipped arenas! 🐴

We’re always looking for ways to improve the facility and make the arenas more enjoyable for our boarders. Better footing and less dust mean a better riding experience for everyone!

It’s the little improvements that add up, and we’re excited to keep making Broken Arrow Ranch a place we’re proud to call home. 🤎

Built for our boarders. Always improving. That’s Broken Arrow Ranch. 🌵

❤️ 31 horses. One community. So much gratitude. ❤️

As we take a moment to look back on the recent fires in our county (now that we seem to be a little more safely out of “fire season”), we are incredibly thankful that Broken Arrow Ranch was able to provide temporary housing and a safe place for 31 horses during a time when their families needed it most.

What made this experience especially meaningful was seeing how quickly our community came together. Hay, feed, supplies, teams hauling horses to safety, and other necessities were donated by people who simply wanted to help. Every donation, every helping hand, and every person who trusted us with their horses meant more than we can put into words. We had someone from our team working to help these horses nearly around the clock for a week straight.

Our goal has always been to maintain a small, safe place where horses and their people can feel at home. This experience reinforced just how important that can be—not only on ordinary days, but especially when our community faces something as devastating and unpredictable as wildfire.

We are proud to say that this is something we intend to continue for years to come. As long as Broken Arrow Ranch remains a safe place to be, our gates will be open to help provide temporary shelter for horses displaced by emergencies in our community.

To everyone who donated hay or supplies, helped with horses, spread the word, offered support, or simply checked in to see how things were going—thank you. This wasn’t just 31 horses finding a place to go. It was a community taking care of its own.

We are incredibly grateful to be a part of it. ❤️🐴
