For a simple Chelsea, MA outing, try the paved paths at Mary O’Malley State Park on Commandant’s Way. Mystic River views, the Tobin Bridge and the Boston skyline give you plenty of reasons to slow down and look around.

It’s a lovely way to enjoy the waterfront when your plans call for a walk instead of a cruise. Bring a layer and let the weather set the pace.
