🏆 Introducing the 2026 PGO Public Golf Course of the Year: Olde Homestead Golf Club! 🏆
We’re thrilled to congratulate the entire Olde Homestead team on this well-deserved honor. Here’s why they stood out:
⛳ People first, always. Olde Homestead’s story began with a promise Carl Snyder made in a WWII foxhole: to serve God, family and community if he made it home. Many years after opening, that promise still drives everything. With roughly 150 employees, some who’ve been there since day one in 1995, they hire for values, invest in growth, and measure leaders by one question: “Who grew because you grew?”
⛳ Growing the game, and keeping players in it. Junior programs and the PGA Junior League bring more than 150 young golfers into the game. The Potato, their nine-hole par-3 course, bridges the gap from the range to 18 holes. Their Pay-Your-Age program, where golfers under 30 pay their age, now drives 10,000+ rounds a year and tackles golf’s biggest challenge: keeping young adults playing.
⛳ A true community partner. They support 50+ nonprofits, host about 40 charity and community events each year, and help raise over $500,000 annually, including more than $100,000 for Folds of Honor.
⛳ Historic at heart, modern in ex*****on. With $2.85 million reinvested over the past five years in course improvements, clubhouse upgrades and wedding venues, plus robotic mowing and new technology on the way, Olde Homestead never settles for “good enough.” More than 40,000 rounds on the championship course and 75,000 guests a year say it all.
Congratulations, Olde Homestead. You make Pennsylvania golf proud! 👏
