SCAA is a non-profit baseball and softball organization located in Chesapeake, VA. The Southern Chesapeake Athletic Association (SCAA) is a non-profit baseball and softball organization. There are approximately 1,700 boys and girls that participate in this organization each spring & fall seasons. Our organization began in 1961 as Great Bridge Little League and has transformed and grown through the years to the organization it is today. We are truly proud of the baseball program at SCAA - our program not only teaches our players about the principals of baseball but also teamwork, self-discipline and leadership skills.

Welcome To Opening Day for Fall 2026 Season!
With Picture Day also happening we just want to remind everyone coming to the SCAA Complex that we will be almost at capacity!

PARKING!
We will be having parking issues this and next Saturday, as we have roughly double the amount of teams at the Complex at each game time slot, sp please park as close as possible and only in designated parking areas!
Those parked illegally will be towed!

SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH!
Please slow down, especially in the areas where pedestrians are crossing. Note the "Stop" signs in place by Fields C5/C7 and Fields C1/C2B. Please slow down!
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for speeding!
Also be aware, Pedestrians have the "Right of Way" at all times in the SCAA Complex. All vehicles must stop for anyone walking across a road.
Persons caught continually driving in an unsafe manner will be banned from driving at SCAA.

We would also like to make sure that everyone knows that our Board of Directors Members and Volunteer Staff have the authority to enforce our policies.
If this is not met with respect and appropriate action, the person in question will be in jeopardy of being suspended from our facility.

Concessions Information
Shetland & Shetland Softball Teams will again be manning the Shetland Concession Stand.
Concession Stands will be open weekdays (Monday-Thursday) and Saturday.
Minimum Staffing by the assigned team are below. All must be adults over 18 years old.
* Main Stand- Minimum eight (8) adults
* Softball Stand- Minimum of 2-3 adults
* Shetland Stand- Minimum of 2-3 adults
Softball & Shetland Stand Staffers who have the first shift of the day should report to the Main Stand at the SCAA Clubhouse before their shift starts.
There is an intended 15 minute overlap on Saturdays to ease in the change-over of teams.
Softball and Shetland Stand teams will have 1-2 duty days in order to cover all slots and because their staffing requirement is only less than 1/3 of a team at a time.
Be aware that teams at the end of the schedule may have duty even if their season is over. If other teams are still playing, to include the End of Season Tournaments, concession dates may change due to the playoff schedule.
Children under 18 may help in the stand but do NOT count towards staffing minimums.
Children under 16 may not handle money or uncooked food or be anywhere around where food is being cooked on the grill or in the microwaves.
Additional teams may be assigned if the season goes past the current dates in the schedule.
When parents registered players to play at SCAA, they accepted that they will work concession duty if scheduled in the registration form. All teams are required to complete their concession duty.
