We will be targeting 200 at bats for this two hour game!

For our rec program - we randomize positions and rotate players so that everyone is exposed to all positions on the field. We do make allowances for safety - but playing time is random, even and is not the coaches kids pitching, playing shortstop and hitting third like so many rec programs.

We play as many innings as we can in two hours. Usually we play around 10-12 innings of baseball.

The boys took care of business and won the Hardball at the Harbor Tournament this weekend - winning 4 of 5 games. The Aviators were led by a line of pitchers who threw 29 innings and gave up 15 runs and 20 hits. Liam M led the way on the mound with 5.1 IP and Caleb D, Dmitri C and Alex B chipped in 4 innings each.

Offensively Liam, Dmitri and Josh paced the team with 5 hits and Nova added spectacular defensive plays at every turn.

Thank you to Milford JML and especially John Wezenski for their hospitality. Also thank you to all the umpires who worked our games this weekend. We had a lot of fun!

I think we have the best third basemen in CT right now in Nova. He’s a star.
